Huw is not perfect, but he and the board have done incredibly well to take a side without a major backer from the lower leagues to the PL! Yes, his business went bust in a major recession and he and the board will make mistakes but I appreciate what he has done. There was something wrong at the end of ML's reign. He has been sacked right or wrong move on. Monk the right choice?... Time will tell.
Players and theyre agents will say anything to theyre present teams fans as the season starts to end . What they actually do or attempt to do when the season ends is another ball game. Jenkins and the board done an amazing , amazing job up till they fired Laudrups agent . After that it was like watching the keystone cops , just a huge laugh to the entire football world . If not for luckish wins against Newcastle and Villa , two off form teams , we might have been ****ed .
Very true! I remember a few seasons back, when at Ashton gate under Sousa about an hour before kick off, my boy and I where eating a burger sitting on some steps near the VIP/Chairman's entrance, and a Black Merc pulled up and parked, and out got this huge Bruiser, and one hell of an ugly git he was too, then out popped Huw, and some old little granny, well they all stretched themselves in the glorious sun as anyone would, as it was a beautiful sunny day, but then the comedy started when Huw tried to put his tie on, well I've never seen anything quite like it, he struggled for I don't know how long, until the old lady came along and did his tie for him, it was hilarious to say the least, my son said, "is that the Swansea Chairman dad" to which I replied "yes it is, and he doesn't know how to put a bloody tie on, makes you think don't it", I'll never forget that moment ever!.......................
Take youre head out of the sand and have an ask to neutrals valley and get back to us . We are in a state of a planned return to the championship on a financial footing not ever seen before by a football team . From the firing of Laudrup's agent to the team put out against Everton in the FA CUP , who wouldn't have a laugh as a neutral
You are correct, I am a mod, you are also correct in that I have in the past told you that I don't like you. What has that got to do with you having a go at HJ before? Nothing. I am just stating the fact that Terror is right, that you used to slag off our chairman in the past. And now you sit here thanking him. Unless of course your telling me that Terror is wrong, that you never said some pretty harsh stuff about our chairman. I mean it wasn't just every now and then, it was on par with your hatred of ML. Every other post was having a go about our chairman being too tight to spend any money, making cock ups with contracts and what not. So what has changed, I would say it was the spending of cash, but then you berated him for spending that money on Bony, who seems to have been worth every penny. The fact is your not always right, none of us are, the difference is when us lot are wrong we will admit our mistakes, you on the other hand like to bask in the glory of when you get it right, and cower away when your wrong, yet anyone ask you about you being wrong, and you get all offensive. Like telling me to grow up in a topic that I have said nothing bad towards you, other than confirming Terror's point that you used to slag HJ off, so who in actual fact needs to grow up, is it myself, a young man, who is just confirming what someone has claimed, or yourself an old man, who has reverted to telling me to grow up. I think its you.
I'll ask the question again roof, who has been laughing at us? Nobody was laughing at us against Liverool, Arsenal, and Napoli etc?
And that's about the slice of it really. the board have made a decision and that's their prerogative. So we get on with it now and give monk all the encouragement and backing we can give. And as long as you understand that monk wont win every game as no manager and team does and he keeps us in the premiership then that's fine.
If you had a clou, and actually read my comments, you'd find I'M PAST ALL THAT and that I'm strictly commenting on Swansea issues. I'm allowed to have an opinion on Swansea topics Even though I don't neccesarily agree with the eternal Swansea Oracle and others on the site. It's not fair to peg me back to Laudrup frustrations just because ýou disagree with me. Dai is excepted form this as he's clearly out of paedagogical reach, or any other reach. I'm not connected historically or emotionally to Monk. That's why I could claim to be more objective. I'd just like to see some ambition shown from this Club!
Oh the ups and downs of being a Swans supporter! Of course any who are not happy can always change their colour to Blue or would that be Red now?..................
aswan now stop it, this is getting too much of a good habit, couldn't stop laughing at that one.....................
Very nicely put swanselona, not even Dai can complain about what you have said here, lets hope he listens for once, trouble with Dai is once he gets something stuck upstairs (Brainbox) and he can't shift it, and we have to put up with his never ending repartition!......................
So you say, but the comments I've read says otherwise. You are of course allowed your own opinion and you don't have to agree with anybody, I'm just saying all your comments that I've read says you are in no way past the Laudrup-thing. I can't remember a single positive thing you've said, it's negative and rarely with clarification. I can't see how "Going back to battling against relegation instead of trying to become a midtable team is plain stupid..." is a neutral comment...
