I think there is a tendency in a male dominated environment for women to mimic the characteristics of the men at the top to reach that status themselves. So if you're the leader of a punk rock group, you need a low slung guitar and lots of tattoos, for example.
I don't see why we shouldn't keep exclusivity in some walks of life and football being hitherto male dominated should stay that way. I'm not sure that players would listen for too long to a woman coach and would soon be asking for her to be replaced by a male. When women are in charge of men it goes straight to their heads and they like to belittle men and get enjoyment out of putting men down. So no.
King, I was told I was being ridiculous when I said Adebayor wasn't all he was cracked up to be, some disagreed but now some agree so I was right. I was also told i was being ridiculous when I said our early form in the Europa wasn't good enough and that we wouldn't win it. What happened? We were bundled out easily so I was right again. So I stand by the statement that you consider ridiculous. Spurf, I'll say it again that I am not Dawnjay, this has been leveled at me before.
Equally doesn't mean you are always right and your post above was, with all due respect (and that is genuinely a lot), sexist twaddle.
Being right about Adebayor and Europa is a completely different thing to being sexist and saying women coaches have no place in male football
Not at all Bajan, it's over for me. All I'd like to say is that if posting what I believe to be a female characteristic makes me a sexist then I feel people are judging too quickly and with too little evidence.
You're getting sidetracked on this. My point is that u can't seriously say ''When women are in charge of men it goes straight to their heads and they like to belittle men and get enjoyment out of putting men down'' That is a sweeping generalisation and incorrect.
To be fair, I had a female boss who was very aggressive and belittled me after I made a mistake. I enjoyed it so much I made the same error again the next week
Do we know (apart from Maggie) if there are any females amongst the regulars? Be interesting to get a female take on the debate?
"To be fair, I had a female boss who was very aggressive and belittled me after I made a mistake. I enjoyed it so much I made the same error again the next week" Like the episode in Frasier where Niles gets into a slanging match with Daphne.
