I voted for Lennon because I think he could lick this disparate bunch (or what will be left of them in the Summer) into shape.

I like Neil Adams, but no. He'll still be around in some role or other. Sherwood, no. Guy needs anger management therapy and would be a disaster. Malky, not really, but I'd get behind him if it happened (as seems most likely)

I like VC's idea of an outsider, but whether that be the guy from Mainz or the man from Delmonte, I'm just not in a position to say. There are probably a few out there that could fit the bill.

The man from Delmonte would look very smart in the dug out. I'd be pretty pleased if there's any truth to the Lennon link.

Following Malky's apology to the Cardiff nutjob, I suspect it may only be a matter of a couple of weeks before we know who will be in charge next season. Not entirely sure how I would feel about it to be honest, but I do think the writing is on the wall for him to walk in, possibly with NA playing a more significant role than the youth team.

CT, perhaps you missed the bit in brackets, I would rather have NONE of them, but if they are the only options, that is my preferred sequence of choices!

You're right in the fact that I don't like Lennon but that is my personal opinion of him, nothing to do with football! <ok>

I have voted for Neil Lennon but he does not has a coach at the end of the season as his team are off to other jobs, so neil Adams to stay on as first team coach.

its a pretty disappointing list of candidates but that's what happens when you get relegated i suppose!

my vote has to go to malky mackay. lennon won't come. i'm staggered and amazed that people have fallen for sherwood - he's like the nigel farage of football management. he is very, very dangerous, it really doesn't say a lot for those who want him i'm afraid. he does not play attacking football, he is not a good motivator. he is a foghorn who has turned an organised spurs team into a mess.

vietnam mentioned the mainz manager, thomas tuchel, whom i've been backing ever since hughton became under immense pressure but our chances were mediocre to slim of getting him in the premier league - i'd say they are zilch now which is a massive shame as i think he'd have been our pochettino.

carrabuh disregards eddie howe - i would do likewise. he mentions rosler - now if i felt we had any chance of getting him i'd suggest he is the best young manager outside the top flight right now and would be all for him coming here, but from what i gather he has been itching for a move to the manchester area and now he's up there, i do not see him relocating to norwich. i hope we've inquired though.

oscar garcia is the interesting shout. i think the press suggested that both ourselves and swansea had taken a shine to him. when i heard he was to become brighton manager last summer i immediately tipped them to win the division. he did brilliantly in israel and has a barca background but i have to say i've been disappointed whenever i've seen brighton this season. he hasn't moved them on and actually they struggle to create chances and score goals just like we did under hughton. his football is very frustrating to watch and i think he'd struggle tremendously with the players we have here - he'd need to completely rebuild us and i don't think we have time for that.

so for me, the most logical choice is malky. it won't please everyone (and no manager will) but i think he gives us our best shot at instant promotion AND getting the majority of fans behind the team.

Lennon for me because he has a good amount of experience, even if it is in the SPL. He's from the same managerial mould as Lambert and I think that suits our club.

Amazed that no one has voted Adams yet 4 people have voted Sherwood! I like his passion but that's all he seems to have. I think that games against the big boys have shown how poor he is tactically. Sure he won a good few games but that was mostly against the weaker sides so could easily be put down to having an expensively assembled squad and bringing Ade back in. After that he doesn't seem to have any ideas.

I don't understand your logic over Tim Sherwood ?
AVB had spurs in disarray !!
Sherwood stepped in and unlike Adams has propelled them up the league to a points tally just shy of there highest when they finished fourth?
You do spout some ****e at times!

Some good logic there Supers. I'm hoping it won't b Malky, but wouldn't be too surprised if it is and as you say, whoever is chosen won't please all of the fans. I certainly wouldn't want Tim Sherwood.
I voted 'other' and would like to see Steve Clarke at least offered the job.

He hasn't "propelled" them up the league. When he took over they were seventh, now they are sixth and his record is actually worse than AVBs. Sherwood's win percentage is 48% compared to AVBs 55%. Also, Sherwood has lost 10 games already and in his entire time at the club, AVB only lost 16.

Adams has come out and said that he wants the job on a permanent basis!

So what do you reckon? Has he done enough to get the gig?

    Possibly not.

He got Fulham away a bit wrong
First half against Liverpool tragically wrong
Away at Man Utd horrifically wrong
but then got most of the Chelsea game right.

The sad thing is, even if we beat Arsenal tomorrow, any claim would be countered by the 'fact' that the Gunners are on the beach, so any positive result cannot be conclusive proof that he is learning fast.

That last line made me laugh, but got to say I agree entirely with your Sherwood assessment. His employment would terrify me. As would NA. So from the list, Lennon or malks for me. Probably Lennon simply to get the best put of Hoops. Agree it's unlikely given our demise, so MM I'll be happy with. At least we can get the majority pulling in the same direction.

I find myself still quite wanting Colin, but realise that wouldn't be someone for the fans to get behind. Don't worry, I've got a cream for it and I'm told it's not contagious.

I voted for Lennon. I think the man is an absolute prick but on balance probably the best managerial candidate on the list. I can't see there being many (any?) premiership sides taking Lennon so I think to be given the chance with a favourite for promotion from the championship would be a very good opportunity for him.
I'm not sure I quite understand people's fear of sherwood. Yes, he'd need some smoothing of rough edges and a chance to develop tactically, but I think there are many worse candidates.
Mackay feels a bit like a compromise candidate, but I do think that's a little unfair. He's done a good job at every club he's been at, and has demonstrated he can get a side out of the championship. Yes, he is going to be closer to Hughton than lambert in terms of tactics but I think as long as we are winning and putting ourselves in the frame for automatic promotion then that's a small price to pay.

thing is, i'm all for giving young managers, especially british ones a chance and for spurs to do this in the top flight, and ourselves to a lesser degree with adams is something that should be applauded really but that doesn't make them the right choices and sherwood is plainly nowhere near as good as he thinks he is. he talks absolute drivel and some of his selections, according to spurs fans, are incredibly stupid. he's made spurs a much worse side in less than six months. abv clearly had his faults - they had a couple of poor results and his team may not have been flamboyant and his signings may not have hit the ground running, but they were a much stronger force than they are now. i think they'd have finished in the top four had he stayed. if sherwood is serious about becoming a manager he should head to a league one or two team and do his apprenticeship there before i would ever consider taking him seriously.

Well I haven't a clue who we should appoint, as Superman says the list isn't great and that really is down to our relegation. Sentiment needs to be put aside, I have a lot of time for Neeyul he's a top bloke but I don't think he'd be the man to take us straight back up. Malky, again a club leg-end but too Hughtonesque for my liking so no to him as well. If we could get him I would plump for Lennon (I think), as I could see him shaking things up and getting the players to buy into his football. Hope I'm wrong but I still think they'll give it to Adams, if not McNally will probably make some left-field appointment and take us all by surprise. Whatever happens, we need an appointment PDQ as the Championship season starts in three months' time <ok>

No he has not done enough but he will get it. I don't know why people are even debating other names as this Board will chose Adams. It's a certainty. They will get us debating who should and who should not be manger but if you have been following this club for years you will know that someone like Lamberts appointment was a one off.

Wouldn't surprise me if they announce it on Sunday.
