I'm actually starting to get a bit angry at Pochettino, I feel he is pretty much deliberately causing a bit of a stir now, and is kind of enjoying it.

 

and the players how dare they be letting the papers print these stories

 

Different story with them, Pochettino is presented with a weekly opportunity to calm things down, and instead he is issuing challenges to the board that could just as easily be done behind closed doors.

 

tbf not sure he's saying anuthing different from what Reed and Krueger have said. Its put up time now.

 

Not really, Reed was saying we speak every day etc.

Pochettino pretty much keeps saying that the club haven't told him about anything.

Maybe it's a lost in translation thing.

 

Mauricio's comments seem fine to me. He sounds like he intends to be here next season and is sitting down with the board on Monday to discuss contracts and future plans. He was asked about players who are out of contract soon and was it normal to leave it this late and he said it's up to the board. I suspect they want to pursue the holistic approach...find out what MP wants and then settle every thing at the same time. Les Reed says that Mauricio wanted to concentrate on this season first. Be settled soon.

I think he feels that some questions are for the board to answer...rather than that he knows nothing.

 

I think everyone is saying exactly the same thing ie we will deal with all contract and related issues after the final game of the season.
That seems a reasonable position to me and as someone has already stated earlier saints seem to collectively orchestrate their dealings with the press.
No doubt we will all learn exactly what is going on in the next few weeks but I remain quite optomistic that we will not be too upset with the outcome

 

Don't see that Mauricio is issuing challenges...just deflecting questions he has no intention of answering. We will get an answer in the fullness of time. Also don't underestimate problems caused by translation...we aren't getting the nuances of what he says.

 

As you do often Fran, you have nailed it.

And it will, of course, be all your fault if we're wrong.

 

Is he? I don't get that impression. Seems to me he's refusing to be drawn on anything that's between him and the club.
