ah.. not good then. Still, they got my 15 quid for the air florida shirt in 1984. You know I'll buy the shirt CBK
aap3: "Thanks to Southampton Football Club and the Saints fans for the past amazing 3 years. We hope Veho enjoy it as much as we did!"
I don't think they're going to go bust. We're not going to be getting much out of this deal, but a little googling has revealed they had a turnover of £20m (and expecting growth) in 2008 when most people were struggling, and the accounts they've filed with companies house (or at least what I can see of them without paying anything) suggest they are doing ok.
Nice to see the new board have spent their time wisely negotiating a sponsorship with a global powerhouse who will pump money into us. Wouldn't have wanted them to waste time doing silly things like tying players down on contracts, or heaven forbid, enticing our world class manager to stay.
At least we haven't signed with a bookie, gambling firm or pay-day loan company or the like. Global company, paying more than the previous sponsors, originally from Southampton, continued growth. Oh and Southampton FC special edition products Seriously though, it's a sponsor.
I think the board may be capable of multitasking. And just because nothing has been announced, does not mean that nothing has been done about contracts.
We are very excited about the partnership and look forward to working with the Club and engaging with the fans. The board of Veho are all lifelong supporters of the Club so we all share the fansâ passion for success on and off the pitch.â Not necessary for sponsors to be fans, but nice anyway.
I was aware of that, do you think this Company are likely to go the same way then, if I bought shares I may have been tempted given yesterdays "leak", I am sure they will go up for a while at least, just the chance the firm and the Club will grow in fame and notoriety at the same time. At least it is easy to spell, but the logo shows veho, not Veho!
I was wondering about the whole Veho/veho thing. On their 'about' section though they refer to themselves as "Veho".
I suppose it depends on the font, they appear to use both versions in their advertising so no worries.
