no that's true, he wasn't given the chance, and he should have learned numerous managerial lessons from the experience.

what about tim sherwood? i think he might be a good fit at norwich. the spurs job was to much for a first managers job but he could be just what we need

i think we have an attitude problem with several members of the squad, and he is a strong personality who would ,i think, sort things out, he has a history wih the club and might instill the will to win back into the squad. i know he fell short in the end at spurs, but he tries to plat attacking football when he can. its only my opinion but i feel he might be what we need

A change in attitude with zero tactical nous, it won't be long before there is a dispirited camp. You need multiple qualities as a football manager, and Sherwood has very few at the momemt

    oh my!

you don't know tim sherwood at all then if you think that <laugh>

if you want to talk about attitude problems lets talk about tim himself.

that's without even starting on the fact he has zero nous. he doesn't play attacking football - he plays unintelligent kamikaze football. he plays players out of position. lets not forget, his record at spurs is pretty dreadful. the only thing he seemingly got right was to reintroduce adebayor who had an immediate effect (because he's a talented guy) but as always happens with him, he's downed tools and now they have nothing going for them. he's turned avb's organised but slightly drab spurs side into a laughing stock. what the hell is he going to do here?

and i can assure you he has absolutely no affection for our club, none whatsoever.

Look at Sherwood's attitude towards the end of his time at Norwich as a player. has he still got that 'arrogance' about him?
If so, then I would not want him anywhere near this club.

supers has mentioned Karl Robinson. an up-and-coming manager like Lambert could be good - it worked before (not saying it would again). Eg Robinson, Eadie Howe at the cherries (doubt he would relocate though)

If Derby beat Wigan in the play-off final, do we think Rosler might be tempted?

Aside from Lennon I cannot see a clear front-runner. It is back to the merry-go-round of sacked managers and the untested and it is a shot in the dark really as to who may work and who may not. People are even talking about Colin, things are that bad!
I think we need someone with stature otherwise we will lose all of our crown jewels and the Scottish effect might help us hang on to Snodds. It is a worrying time and a big decision to make.

Call me a 'cynic' if you wish but IMHO there's no real point to this debate guys.
Adams is the cheapest option and the cheapest option has always been and will always be the Norwich way.
Adams will be in charge for the start of next season <ok>

Feels weird to say this, but I'd take Colin...certainly over NA and MM. I've softened to him a bit and loved his autobiography...I'd have taken him when we got rid of CH and given him the 5 games...

I'm not sure why folks are claiming it's going to be NA and making out that we're skinflints when it comes to managers. Load of carp tbh.

i agree with that. how can anyone seriously suggest that taking lambert or hughton were 'doing things on the cheap'? the money won't really be an issue - they'll appoint whoever they feel is the best candidate in their eyes

Who makes the decision and on what basis? What advice do they get? It seem to me that the decision is made by folk who have no specialist knowledge and therefore the decision is always going to be very risky. it seems like councils a few years ago would convene interview panels to appoint a new engineer and there would be no engineers on the panel, just councillors with backgrounds in farming or small business (well I am thinking about North Norfolk Distric council in particular)

Tim Sherwood is an absolute idiot.

Warnock is past it and his tactics are mostly archaic.

I like Neil Adams and can see the passion but he hasn't got enough experience.

Anyone else mentioned; Malky, Lennon, Clarke, Rosler, Howe, I would accept. First choice for me would be Malky. Not sure we'd go straight back up under him but there's no reason why we wouldn't give it a proper good tilt.
