He might have a valid point, until your new manager gets the defence sorted wouldn't have been better to give Vidic another season at least?

 

He was out of contract at the end of the season, who's to say Van Gaal would've kept him.

Vidic was well worth another year contract, he might have lost a yard or two but he's a Utd players that knows the Utd way.

 

He hasn't been the same since the knee injury he picked up against Basel in 2011. Its the right choice to leave now.

I think it was a mutual decision. United knew his best years were behind him and I think Vidic himself realises the Premiership is possibly too much for him now.

 

I'm sure we would have kept him if we really wanted him. It all boils down to money after all

I think he is/was your best defender. One of the few man u playets a really rate. He can only be a loss to you tbh.
