TSS, its not beyond the realms of all possibilities that the club is stage managing. They've done it before and they'll do it again.

Wanyama deal? That was meant to be dead for one...

Krueger has already told us they completely stage-managed his own appointment.

Wanyama deal cracked me up, the stuff I was being told. <laugh>

Yet you still aren't willing to answer a question? And you say I need to get a grip? As I have said many times, I am neither a positive or negative person I see it from both views. Maybe Lallana wants to play in the Champions League or maybe he wants to stay with the club he loves. Both of these things can happen, we will just have to wait and see what happens. But to simply dismiss one or the other is silly.

I'm not criticising you, Beef, and I will answer your question. If he asks to go then we take the shirt off the club's back who wants to buy him. But let's not sell him before he even asks, eh..?
Right, that's answered. Now answer me this. Why does everyone feel the need to believe all the gufff coming from the newspapers and nothing from their own club and players..? Is there a track record of truth we can rely on or something, or is it just anxiety..?

Hope you aren't including me in this. :p

What seems to be coming from the players is that they want the club to continue progressing and investing. If the club doesn't, I don't know if that means they will leave, as they are all on long contracts and the club could play hardball and keep them anyway. However it is inevitable that when away with England that other players will talk about how good their own clubs are and will talk about how great CL football is etc. Even the most loyal player would find it hard not to want a piece of that and be up there challenging for honours. If though we have signed a player or two and show our ambition Adam/Luke may well feel like he can achieve those things with us. Poch signing a new deal would obviously help as well.

Our guys can sell Saints as a great club (which it is) but we are not likely to see England players moving to us. However JWP in the U21's or the guys in the under 19's can sell us to the best talent at that age based on their own progression into our first team.

I don't know why people are dabbling with numbers. First I'd say No, and when Liverpool didn't take the hint, I'd just put Adam's value out of their reach. We don't need the money, we need the player.

Of course, it's all rubbish anyhow.

Im with you TSS. Even if Adam weants to go we dont have to sell.

See I'm the other way. If he came to the club and said he wanted to leave and was upset we'd turned down an offer, I'd sell him. Sell him very high, but selll him.

It is of course rumour and stirring, however, I find the likes of TSS's comments toward posters discussing his possible departure a little 'haughty'. It's a forum mate and it is a possibility that some stories maybe true. Of course people are going to discuss it with some anxiety. Let them.

I can't quite believe how defeatist many of you are. These articles have no quotes from anyone, only speculate that he may be a target, come a day after articles saying he reaffirmed his commitment to us, and people somehow conclude he's off? Do me a favour!

It's ok, he's on a contract and we've had no offers :)

I think that the reaction is because of who the player is. The best thing we could hear or see next is a little wooden table on the pitch before the Utd game, with a seat with MP written on it next to the table; then those panicking would be called.

And remember even in the worst case scenario, we will keep most of the players and buy some new ones. Some fans seem to think that every player will break their contract and leave...why? Why would they leave a club they are contracted to and that they enjoy playing for? Most are having the experience of their lives. We are no longer a small club in the sense of facilities...they get top care and coaching.

Fran, (by the way, auto correct said Gran :) - did you see my Gran video yesterday?), I believe the uproar is because its Adam. He stands for everything Saints, been here since he was 12 and is called Mr Southampton by the players.... it will be very tough should he leave.

On skysports they are saying according to the sun that Adam will leave for 20 m and will be a perfect fit to play with Suarez ....
Didn't this paper also say the other day Suarez is going to Real Madrid for €92???

Yes, I saw the video...I may take up a new hobby :) I know it will be tough if Adam leaves, but not impossible....I am trying positivity now.
