are interested in Bendtner, but are unwilling to pay the £12 million. Is this a chance for us to open talks over bringing one of their highly rated CBs to Arsenal? (Subotic and Hummels are both names often mentioned as "the answer")
Either Subotic or Hummels would be absolutely fantastic for us. Subotic would be my first choice signing for Arsenal, The guy is absolutely a class act and Hummels has the potential to be just as good.
why would they want bendtner lol oh well can only hope. its all speculation and this is what the whole of the summer will be like. i thought we'd have to offer money for any team to take bendtner
I still think Bendtner has potential if he were given a chance to play consistently in a 4-4-2 as a feckin' centre forward! Be that as it may he's said he's off so that's that. I think he'd do really well in the German league but I guess time will tell. If we get over £10m for him then I'd be satisfied. Have never seen either of the two CB's mentioned to be able to judge them but apparently I'm alone in that. For that matter I appear to be alone in not knowing anything about 99% of Arsenal's targets, let alone seeing them play. Lazy me, only watching the EPL.
I don't think they will sell any more of their best players because they want to have a good shot at the champions league. For a player like Bendtner we would have to pay a lot of extra cash with him to get one of their CB's.
We should definitely put this offer on the table, and then offer some money if needed. Bendtner +£5m for either Subotic or Hummels would be a great deal imo
I still think Bendtner is a good player. Its just Wenger playing him on the right wing and his occasional displays of terrible shooting that make people think he is rubbish. And the media make his quotes seem more stupid than they actually are too.
When ive seen him play i know he has been out of position fair enough i can accept that, but as im sure you will agree he has missed some absolute sitters far more often than not. But not the most annoying thing about him, it was the pre match interview he did with sky (i think) before the cup final with Birmingham, all he could rabbit on about was his dream he had the night before about how he would score the winning goal and how amazing he was, get 9 million for him i d be well happy
I find his ridiculous levels of self-belief quite attractive (but not in that way). He has done good stuff for us in the past like these 2 goals.
