A fine team that. Its a pity it won't last longer than 20 minutes. The Royal Free Hospital will be busy...
Selective memory eh...? Way back in January when you guys were the front runners, I said quite a few times that I hoped you guys win the league if we can't
Fabianski got us here, he should start, irregardless of whether he leaves in the summer or not. You don't see people saying Jenkinson should start over Sagna, even though Bac is off to Citeh.
I also said I'd rather finish fourth and win a trophy than finish second or third without a trophy I wouldn't swap this league season for a trophy though, its been fantastic and I would never have believed anyone if they had said we would go into the last day with a mathematical chance of winning the title.
If Fabianski and Sagna want to leave the club, then Chesney and Jenkingson should play. Why give a chance of a cup medal to players who have no loyalty to the club. Give the chance to players who will be here in the future, so they have experience of winning things. What Sagna is doing is worse than what Nasri, Van Persie et al did. At least we got good money for them.
I agree about your sentiment about Fab... why play a sub-par player who wants to leave over our first choice, better GK who doesn't want to leave? But Sagna is our best right back. The key thing here is for the club to win a trophy, not to put medals around individual players' necks. And we win a trophy by playing our best team. I want us to absolutely annihilate Hull. I'm predicting a MoM performance from Ozil which will kickstart him having an outstanding season next year as he gets fully up to speed.
Christ I'd absolutely love a performance where we win comfortably. I can't remember the last time I saw us play a massive game and felt confident from start to finish. I know we should win this game but I'm absolutely bricking it.
I'm never confident when it comes to finals. It may have something to do with seeing us lose a lot more than we've won.
We've been completely comfortable in both games against hull this season and this is a chance to end the period of no silverware. I can't see hull beating us. The run to the final has seen us beat spurs, Liverpool, Everton and the current cup holders Wigan who have put city out of the cup two years running. It's been an incredible cup run including an epic penalty shoot out. And an epic thrashing of hull in the final would be a great way to finish it off. I'd go for: ----------Szcz---------- Sagna--mert--Kosc--Gibbs -------Arteta----Ramsey---- Cazorla-----ozil----podolski -----------giroud------- Subs: flappy, verm, Montreal, flamini, wilshere/Sanogo, oxocube, rosicky Depending on the fitness of Montreal, Gibbs, wilshere.
Sunderland 1 Leeds United 0 Southampton 1 Manchester United 0 Ipswich 1 arsenal 0 Wimbledon 1 Liverpool 0 Wigan 1 Manchester City 0 Just a few so called fa cup final shocks. Hull City have a chance of winning as do Arsenal. Roll on the cup final COME ON U ULL
I'm sorry but I just can't see us losing with that team. Unless Hull play like a team possessed, we should take this one. Ramsey and Ozil will be too much for them to contain in midfield. I would play Flamini instead of Arteta and keep him covering our back four to mop up any mistakes. Our record against the lesser teams have been excellent.
To be fair if you turn up, handle the pressure and play to the standard you are capable of then you win the game comfortably whatever line up you put out. Only if the nerves and the pressure begin to kick in and affect Arsenal players do we stand any chance. Most of us are travelling to Wembley in hope rather than expectation as there is no pressure on us and neither is there any shame in losing to a team (if lose we do) that consistently qualifies for the Champions League. In all honesty if anyone had said last August that we would be comfortably out of the relegation places all season AND reach the FA Cup Final they would probably have been carried off by men in white coats!
