Another football season over for us and they don't get any more dramatic than this one. Over the next 2 weeks we have the play-offs and the FA Cup. Will brb do the League and Cup double on us? Then, of course, there is the speculation over the takeover. It's a few months before there will be speculation about signings and we will be selecting our line up and looking for the fixture lists. Until then I hope we can keep in touch over the coming months. Maybe some games and/or chat about anything on the Chat thread. It's been an interesting season with ups and downs (more downs than ups probably) but at least it ended on a high and we didn't go down. Any suggestions to keep the forum ticking over will be gratefully received.
The one thing we need is a quiet year which I seem to remember somebody mentioning at the beginning of this season over 21 years of being a league side I would think we have had more excitement than virtually any team in the whole of the Premier & Football League 2 cup semi-finals, 3 promotions one through the play offs, two play off defeats, 3 relegations, plus I seem to remember at least a one near miss not counting this year & I might well have missed one I make that at least 12 seasons out of 21 years what other club can match that record apart from Man.U
our promotion under taylor - my word that was a horrific wait! the last "dull" season was probably last year when we finished midtable, but anyone who watched that would not say that it was an easy dull midtable season! We could do with some stability next season, and I wouldn't say no to a play-off push just no more relegation please!!!
