I'll only take Hernandez if it's expressly written into his contract that he can't call himself Chicarito.
Right now I think Welbeck is a lot better than Hernandez, and Hernandez seemingly can't do a lot outside the six yard box. He's such a nice guy, though, that I kinda want him anyway. I'm hesitant about Aboubakar simply because defenses in France are not good. How about Bundesliga? Kruse? Volland?
I agree with Chilco. Get him early, pay a good price for him so that Burnley don't feel robbed, and so they can find a good replacement, and then get him into the Saints way of doing things, which he'll have a good idea of anyhow, being brought up on the regime.
Part of the problem is he might not even want to leave Burnley. He's got a very good thing going for him there. I also don't agree with the sentiment of giving Burnley lots of money to be nice.
They'd probably insist it themselves. I can't see him being worth under £10m, and as brilliant as I think he is, it's a bit of a risk. Wouldn't be complaining if those at the club who are far better judges than I am decide to go for him though.
Kruse would be fantastic, but suspect he's a bit out of reach. Maybe not. I'd be ecstatic if it happened.
Ings loves Southampton (he is always checking our results out). But he also respects Burnley big time.
Don't think he'll go to any of those. Dortmund are linked to dozens of strikers, United and Bayern don't need one but if they did would go bigger.
