Have been pissing myself at the comments on FoxesTalk. Last time I looked, 28 pages of whinging that the internet dont work, the queue is too long etc. Can't believe that the financial situation of 7000+ people has significantly changed since Christmas to allow them to buy a new season ticket and not be able to buy a half season ticket in December. Lure of the Premiership I guess. Be interesting to know how many of these 7000 will renew if we get relegated.
Shows how big we can be really. 7k new season tickets in 3 days. I think that if we stay up next season then we should really consider extending the ground.
I have got a season ticket for next season. It is the first time I have had a season ticket for (I think) 11 seasons. Before that, I had a season ticket for quite a few seasons and even before that, I only missed 2 home games between 1984-2002. I was there at Filbert Street when we were getting gates of 7,000. Yes, the lure pf the Premiership will always get people through the gates more than any other division. Does that make me a plastic fan?! I got to a few games each season for the past 11 seasons, but finances obviously play a massive part of if/when you can go to games. When I go, the whole family go, so each game costs me over £100. If you can afford that for each game, then good on you. I am Leicester through and through, if I can't get to the game then the radio is playing in my ear. I have watched Leicester through thin and thinner. Just a quick message to everyone bemoaning to where the new 7,000 season ticket holders have suddenly come from........where were you during the Pleat years and the other poor times we have been through?!!!!!! Rant over LTID
A plastic fan is someone who shows little to no interest in "his/her" club during the tough times and when success comes they jump onto the bandwagon And then more then likely when the times get tough their the first ones calling the team crap and wanting the manager sacked. And they then lose interest again altogether
Celebrating the fact that a quarter of your stadium next season will be filled with premier league day-outers. Yup, certainly shows what a big club you can be.
I was gutted as this coming season was the first season I could realistically afford one because I'm currently on my placement year. Wasn't expecting them to sell out quite so quickly as I've just paid off a holiday. Oh well, I'll just pick and choose, go to Hull away (uni town) and try and get a half if they release any. :/
Ive got season tickets for the rugby. I have just bought a flat though at 'the wickets' opposite the ground though if anyone knows it so will be able to hear all the games at least!!
A bizarre theory however might just be that these are, in the main, genuine fans, who go down most weeks anyway, but have decided to ensure that they can get in to the big games (like Man United, City, Chelsea, Liverpool ..... and Hull) when undoubtedly less genuine fans will be flocking in droves ... some of them may well have missed the Doncaster game because they couldn't get tickets due to not being either season ticket holders or members already ...
