I don't think its a matter of who is getting favoured I think what I am asking about is the truthfulness of what Red Bull is putting out. They thoroughly tested this new chassis in the factory..wouldn't they make sure it gives them some performance gain? Come on Silver that certainly can't be true...not in this seriously competitive development race.
Yeah Daniel got the working one and Vettel is left with the broken and second hand chassis' where Daniel will get the first new chassis come Silverstone. Vettel's getting screwed over plain and simple, I blame Whitmarsh etc.
Generally if you cook something twice it's made stronger, so a few hours in the autoclave followed by being re-heated by the engine over several tests will make it as strong as diamonds
See why Red Bull needs to get their story straight before coming out? Now this is what they said: However, chief designer Rob Marshall is now insisting that Vettel's chassis change was planned all along. "Sebastian will get a new chassis for Barcelona," he confirmed, "which was scheduled at the start of the season and then the next one will be for Dan at some time around Silverstone." In the interview posted on Red Bull's website, Marshall played down the likely benefit of Vettel's new chassis, insisting the change is more precautionary. "It shouldn't be (a benefit)," he said, "as the idea is that they are all the same. "From our point of view we'd rather give them one or two new chassis during the season that we have been able to check out in the factory using various testing methods," added Marshall. Now they keep using the word New...new chassis isn't the same as used chassis right? Maybe they want us to believe they are using a used one just in case it doesn't turn out to be a benefit to Vettel? Maybe? Would they risk using the test chassis that they were getting all kinds of problems with..the overheating and all that? I really don't think so.. But stranger things have happened before. And to be honest Silver, I don't even think you believe that.
OH well, it seems like the moaning git's who want to hear louder decibels coming from the 2014 cars will have their wish as it seems the WO5 will be running a Megaphone exhaust system in practice on Friday. More gimmicks.
It's clearly obvious RBR are sabotaging Vettel's car so Daniel become the new poster boy of RBR as Vettel is off to Ferrari or Mercedes next year so they want to make Daniel look like he is better when he isn't, it's Daniel's title to lose! And again I blame Whitmarsh...
Red Bull "The cars are upgraded almost every race," says Marshall, "some of the upgrades can be large and some small, such as little tweaks on the front wing, some details of the bodywork or upgrades to the car's cooling system. “Sebastian will get a new chassis for Barcelona, which was scheduled at the start of the season and then the next one will be for Dan (Ricciardo) at some time around Silverstone,” said Rob Marshall, Red Bull’s chief designer, via the team’s official website. Marshall expanded a bit on Red Bull’s planned upgrades, as most of the Formula One paddock shifts their cars to version 2.0 after the four flyaway races to kick off the season. “The cars have been on the other side of the globe for the first quarter of the year and teams’ R&D departments will have been busy coming up with large upgrade packages to bolt on the car for the first time in Spain,” he said. “They will often compromise whole body work packages, so the floor, engine cover, front wings and rear wings, potentially new suspension components and various other bits and bobs.”
I am not saying it is unfair to one or the other all I am saying is that they need to get their story straight before they come to the press. The chassis is either a new one Ora used one and you will either develop it or now..don't tell me it will be the same. That's crap.
You probably find this was the chassis they wanted to use since the beginning and maybe MAYBE! compromised cooling for the ones they were using up until now. MAYBE! other than that we will have to wait and see what it does, if anything. But again Marshall says they have to be identical, how identical who knows.
But Vettel said the decision was made after Shanghai and as part of efforts to ensure every possible cause of his troubles was investigated.
And Caterham will win all the other races for the season right? Come on Silver I know you don't believe that! Identical in colour scheme maybe?
But it is interesting those two are contradicting each other: it was planned before the season started or after China? Rob Marshall: “Sebastian [Vettel] will get a new chassis for Barcelona, which was scheduled at the start of the season and then the next one will be for Daniel [Ricciardo] at some time around Silverstone.” Seb Vettel:“I think we concluded after China, where we were quite a little bit behind, to change the chassis,” See why they need to get their stories straight?
I know in Silver's profession he gets into people's brains to understand what they are thinking what they are saying and what they are feeling... Surely you had spotted those discrepancies long before all of us here...I know you are just being devil's advocate. Lol
