ALAN Pardew says the calls from Newcastle United’s fans for his sacking have “saddened” him.

But the club’s under-fire manager says his “resolve” to see the job through is as strong as ever ahead of Sunday’s visit to Anfield.

Newcastle fans have loudly demanded Pardew’s dismissal in recent weeks.

Supporters chanted against Pardew and club owner Mike Ashley during last weekend’s 3-0 home win over Cardiff City, which ended a club-record run of six Premier League defeats.

And Pardew’s future hinges on end-of-season talks with Ashley, who demanded a top-10 finish at the start of the campaign.

Ninth-placed United have achieved that objective ahead of the season-finale against Liverpool, whose title challenge is all but over after their 3-3 draw at Crystal Palace on Monday night.

It remains to be seen whether Ashley – who handed Pardew a seven-year deal early last season – will be swayed by supporter opinion ahead of a summer of rebuilding at the club.

For his part, Pardew remains focused on the final game of the season.

“Obviously, I’m a little bit sad about the situation,” Pardew told the Gazette. “But my resolve has to be strong to make sure the players are ready for Liverpool.

“We need to go to Anfield and put in a top performance.”

Fans are unhappy at a largely abject few months on the field dating back to Yohan Cabaye’s January sale to Paris Saint-Germain.

Newcastle have all too often played without confidence and cohesion, and Pardew’s tactics – which were criticised during last season’s relegation battle – have again come under scrutiny.

However, Pardew, looking for the club to sign a number of “offensive” players in the summer’s transfer window, is adamant that he can take United forward.

The 52-year-old believes Newcastle can renew their challenge for European football next season, having been in the top six in late December.

Speaking after the Cardiff game, he said: “We need to make sure that we start next season in the same position we started this season.

“We had a strong team and were challenging for Europe.

“But towards the back end of the season, we have not been that good. We need to accept that, accept the criticism and make the right calls.”

Oh, here we fcking go again. He wonders why people want him out when he spouts the same old sh!t time and time again.

"We need to go to Anfield and put in a top performance". Shortly followed by an abject hammering, then followed by "we wasn't good enough, the players are hurting, but we'll be going after, hopefully, one or two in the Summer who'll make us stronger next year".

Next year, we won't be much stronger, have a slightly worse season and it will be just a constant cycle of "we wasn't good enough today, we have to put that right in the next game" rinse and repeat until Fat Mike fcks off. We'll be drip-fed hope that January will bring players, which it won't - not what we'd all want - then continue where he left off. One year from now, we'll be having more or less the exact same conversations. Only there'll be considerably fewer people around bothered to even talk about it.

Pards use of the word 'we' when it should be 'I' show that he wont man up to the fact that he just isn't good enough.

Alan Pardew makes me sad. I've had enough of his rhetoric and have done for the vast majority of his tenure.

The fans have saddened me........ Oh dear me........ Not half as much as he has saddened us..... And he still doesn't seem to really understand why we feel the way we do.

Cannot see much changing in the coming year, just more of the same sad excuses, which of course are never his fault or anyone else's so it would seem.

What I cannot quite grasp is who is he saying this to? So there's a room, with a microphone and I would guess a dozen or so "journalists". And not one of them turns around and says even something light like:

    - "Alan, you mention the supporters are sad, do you understand why they would feel like that?", or

    - "Alan, during your recent poor run and generally poor form throughout 2014, you've said in a pre-match conference each time that you expect or need a "strong performance" from your team, yet more often than not have then delivered consistent and repetitive capitulations and half-hearted displays - do you have any explanations as to why that is?", or

    - "Alan, you stated there that your team haven't been "good" - I think the fans are only after actual explanations as to why that's been the case, would you be able to offer one?", or

    - "Alan, you stated there that you have to "make the right calls" - I think the fans are a bit disillusioned as to what this actually means, as they seem to be just words with little or no substance. Would you be able to elaborate as to what the "right calls" actually are?"

And so on. Not one journalist, North East or otherwise, feels it worth pressing him on this stuff??

He was exactly the same at West Ham by all accounts. He was 'disappointed' when their fans started calling for his head. Ignore the fact that he benched their best players because they were 'gifted'. Forget the fact they couldn't score from a set piece, were tactically shocking and putting in some abysmal performances. It was everyone else's fault but his. Don't make me laugh. Jesus.

This guy is become more hated as Souness with each passing day. That is saying something. Actually, i'd go as far to say that he's becoming more of a hate figure than Mike Ashley. Now that really is saying something.

He talks about "We" all the time in his sentances to associate himself as being one of us. Yet its a one way relationship. In his mind anyways.

The fact is "We" in this context should mean EVRYONE! Not just him, the players or MA.

When "We" win he says "The" players played well.

When "We" lose he says "We" didnt put the performance in, or "We" need to get behind the team.

When "We" are disappointed with a performance, lack of transfers etc he says "They" should understand "The club" cant compete with others financially.

What I am trying to say is that he looks at us as not being in the collective "We" as a part of the setup. More of a nuisance that is paying the bills. An unwanted voice on the round table but a necessity that cannot go away.

Its a bit like paying to watch a film at the cinema, being promised special effects, almighty sound, good acting, a good story...... to then get a marching one man band.

What the powers that be fail to realise is that football is an entertainment industry and thus we expect to be entertained.

I honestly do not think anything will change in the current regime. We keep coming in our thousands with blind faith and while that continues they will not change one bit.

At least when the previous owners royally ****ed up the finances of the club we got some fooking entertainment out of it. We didnt win anything.... nothing at all but we enjoyed the journey.

Now going to the match is like the drive back home after a holiday in spain where it rained the full bastard week and the thought that your back at work in the morning.

Jeez I could go on and on!

Similarly, what the powers that aren't fail to realise is that the owner couldn't give a fck. We live in permanent disbelief that the owner of a football club can continually give such disregard to its' fans, yet get away with it.

Hopefully by this time next week, it will be MA making him sad.

Mind if I walked away with a multi-million pound pay-off I'd be as happy as f*** not sad.
