I agree with this. Pardew has made loads of bad decisions but I wouldn't even give Ashley an ,B, or C list just go straight for the G,H and I bargain bucket list ,because lets be honest as we have been told we cant compete with Southampton, Cardif blah, blah, blah, hartlepool

Would rather go for Jason Puncheon than either Townsend or Ince

He's probably the one who Ashley has lined up to replace Pardew.

From what I've been hearing, his job on TV might not be safe.

Shelvey, Colback, Townsend, Ince, Caulker, Zaha, Cresswell, Gauld (of course), Trippier, Ings, Bryam, Hughes, Redmond - plenty of good young british talent who would be welcome. I don't think we'll see any of them.

Apparently Moses may be available this summer too. Like Townsend, Zaha and Shelvey though he's likely to cost over £7million. I'd have to agree with you that it doesn't seem likely.

Newcastle United have offered a trial to out-of-contract Sunderland youngster Louis Laing, who has been training with Manchester United.

In a surprising turn of events, United are keen to cast a closer look at in-demand Laing – who is Newcastle-born but has been involved with the Black Cats Academy until his summer release.

Sunderland have decided to release him because they cannot offer him any assurances about first-team chances next season, but the Magpies are looking to re-stock their development sides as part of a complete summer overhaul.

Laing has trained with the Red Devils and is understood to have impressed reserve-team coaches at Old Trafford. He also has a contract offer from Blackburn, and is interesting Preston, Nottingham Forest and Derby County.

    Why has he left Sunderland.
I thought he had a lot of potential so seems strange that he's out of contract.

Because the academy is a ****ing joke, most of the young lads that seemed to have potential have been released.

Nee idea what's going on, but someone is making mistakes, believe me, there's seems to be a few decent one's being let go, and this lad is supposed to be one of them.
