towards the end of the season the normal question of who should stay or go comes to light. with a few games left I thought it was worth a look at who was out of contract and what decisions need to be made.

    UNDER CONTRACT

    Ingram
    Kretch
    Scowen
    PCH
    McClure

    STAY
stewart - not sure if he will want to but the club needs to do all they can to make sure he signs a new deal so we can at least get some money!
Johnson - adds some stability at the back and we may well be short of centre backs next year
lewis - for all the stick he has got this year he is the squad captain and still plays a vital part in many matchs. certainly worth new deal
bloomfield - looks like he is getting back to his best after a long time out with injury
wood - player of the season last year, one of the contenders this time out. an absolute no brainer
horlock - we need some cover in goal, hopefully he is good enough!
fletcher - I suspect stewart will go, so I would give fletcher another year as I suspect he cant be costing us too much and he was always seen as a young prospect as oppose to someone for this year
Doherty - same as Johnson really

    GO
spring - gaz doesn't like him, not really a scrapper and whilst he has looked good when he has played, hes never looked exceptional. a different manager may take a look but under gaz he will go
Jeffery - yet to hear a good word about him from anyone, Mansfield aside he has been ineffective whenever used
JPP - unfortunately the return hasent worked out and he has proved to be far too injury prone
kuffour - truly waddocks last hurrah, giving this man a 2 year contract - he has to be the worst regular starter in the years ive watched Wycombe
JKG - been knocking on the door for a few years now, yet to make a breakthrough and looked very poor every time ive seen him
Arnold - I know hes a season long loan but thought I would say anyway that there is no way we should sign this guy up! a lot of effort but poor imo

    UNSURE
morgan - ive never been a far (I think that's quite clear!) but this season he has been evermore frustrating - sometimes superb, sometimes awful and often with a poor attitude. I personally would look elsewhere, but wouldn't complain too much if he stays either
craig - this ones difficult for me, ive actually been quite impressed with him most of the time I've seen him but low on goals, and following his comments to the BFP I wonder if the board will be less keen to renew the deal
styche - not looked a bad player, just goalshy. He would be a big gamble but perhaps a full pre-season and a goal somewhere might make a good player out of him

the biggest decision this summer though is surely about ainsworth. it is easy to make arguments both sides, and I suspect new owners may wish to bring their own man in

I wonder if Ainsworth will be kept on as assistant manager as he knows the players,i wouldn't have him as manager or i fear we'll have another season as bad as this one.

Haven't seen any of them play but from commentaries I would definitely keep Morgan and I would be happy to keep Craig and it would be good if we could hang on to the 2 loanees Pierre and Rowe. Don't know much about JKG. Agree with the keeps.

We have the right ones under contract, which is good news.

As regards Ainsworth, I would definitely keep him. He probably needs to learn more but that will come. Basically, he is a good man to have at the helm and he could develop into our best long term manager. I would be more worried that someone will come in for him as he has some vital attributes missing in most managers. He also seems well respected in the Football League (and on TV), and has many contacts, which is always handy in the Loan market.

I never did work out why we signed JPP but that is me. Ainsworth should stay. you cant keep employing young managers then saking them just becouse we struggle. factor in the fact we have no money who els apart from MON will do better? yes we have under acheved but being realistic we are a mid table team at best. I feel that Ainswoerth will get better but needs time. so keep him morgan, and Blooms.

realised I forgot about lee angol - for me he probably has to go unless gaz really plans to use him next year. There is no point letting him stay then just sending him out on loan for another season

revisiting this now looking at the maybes, I would certainly let morgan and styche go. As for craig he impressed me in recent weeks and him and McClure look like there could be a real partnership there so another years contract I think

I presume you would release Morgan because of his inconsistency Jose. I agree he could be a problem player; he can be brilliant but sometimes it would seem his heart isn't in it. He is a class player and maybe he feels he is too good for this team and shouldn't be playing against lower tier teams. If that is his attitude (and that's the impression I get listening to commentaries) then he should go. A shame really because when he's on song, he can be a match winner/saver.

    No idea about Styche

basically yes ron - morgan has always been a player ive not liked perticulary - he has superb ability but his attitude stinks. On his day he can be a match winner, but his day has become fewer and fewer. This season when we really had to scrap in games he has been anonymous - his last really good game was against Northampton where within 20 minutes it was plain sailing against an awful team and we had the chance to play some football

If I thought next season we would be challenging for promotion , winning games and playing teams off the park I would keep him. But for me his attitude is too poor

Ive seen very little of styche but from what I have seen he just doesn't seem to be up to it
