Obviously he isn't, because I said LENNON GIVES HIM A LIST If 99 percent of clubs ran their transfer policy like we do, we wouldn't be getting commended for the way we do business I don't want to put you down, but you are acting like a ***** yourself...I must have really got to you. Before you respond try calming down ;-)
You're being deliberately obtuse because you know that you are incapable of conversing with me on my level. It's as simple as that.
In 1966, Mindy escaped from The Maze prison. All they found of him was a muddy set of prison clothes, a bar of soap, and an old rock hammer, damn near worn down to the nub. I remember thinking it would take a man six hundred years to tunnel through the wall with it.
Pukki is a good player but needs to get better at the physical stuff, he just can't sheild a ball which is a major flaw. The rest of the forwards we have bought recently have been an absolute disaster, Boerikkter is a bawbag does nothing, Balde is never a fitbaw player I was embarrased watching him last night. We need to get Watt back and just forget tring to buy a forward we can't do it.
Can't think of a manager who hasn't/doesn't make mistakes in the transfer market. And anyway, what's the alternative?
That's nothing more than a cop out. Nobody is criticising Lennon for his overall business in the transfer market. I, personally, am criticising him for wasting approx £10m on the more expensive signings and think that may be the reason behind the board not letting him spend. While there is a lot to be admired about the way Celtic do our transfer business there is also room for improvement. Lennon has to get the signings right this year so we are competitive in the cups and are able to qualify for the CL group stages. No reasonably big team in England will give him a job unless he can prove he has the ability to sign quality players who aren't "works in progress".
I agree with others that Pukki is actually a good footballer, just not the right one for Celtic after Hooper left. The entire striker saga from the moment Hooper left until signing Griffiths has been a total embarrassment. "Aye we can buy a £6m striker, nae ****ing bother" Spend peanuts on Griffiths and spend 5 months defending the **** in the press. Continue to treat fans like mugs.
Spend £5/6m on someone more proven who can do a job for 3 or 4 seasons instead of pissing away more over the space of 3 or 4 years on several useless ****s. Ie instead of pukki and balde we could have had finboggson who has 32 goals in 39 games this season
No cop out, just a statement of fact. You think the board are withholding funds because they don't trust the manager? I just don't believe that.
I think the board have found a manager who fits the bill for them. Someone who easily dupes the most gullible among us and someone who is willing to tow the company line when told to do so. I've lost a massive chunk of respect for Lennon since around December last year. The man has gibbered nothing but utter ****e since then: Pish about £6m players. Griffiths isn't good enough, aye he is, let's sign him and pretend it was never said. Arsene Wenger style ****e about not knowing who the GB banner was aimed at. Brass-****ing-neck.
I don't believe Lennon goes out his way to dupe us. You seem to think a manager has the luxury of not towing the party line, as far as I know all managers do what they are told, they are employees of the club. It's obvious we don't agree on the manager, I'm cool with that
You don't converse when you're emotional, you just enter into a drunken-like tirade It's made sticking around not606 worthwhile ;-)
Im not saying it had to be finboggson. However id prefer it if rather than settling for 2nd or 3rd or 5th choice we dont spend it on ****e and add it to the next years budget so we might then get a better target. tony watt could have sat on the bench ahead of balde at **** all cost
I think the manager identifies players who will make the team better, some make an immediate impact, others are seen more as long term investments. "Better" players want bigger wages and we don't want to go down that road again. I don't believe we go for 5th choice anything, we get some bang on and some turn out to be a waste of our resources. Exactly the same as any other club/manager.
Roy Keane, Juarez, Ljungberg, Mizuno I don't believe any of them were on a Celtic managers wanted list Griffiths "wouldn't have got in my team" The buck doesn't stop at Lennon for signings imo He's 1/3 responsible at most
