People can say what they like about Allardyce and his style of football, but he will keep you in the Premier League and sometimes that's the most important thing.
Who would be lined-up for them then? Cant think of any obvious candidates. Maybe Mackay - he played for them didnt he? His team hardly played scintillating football. Either way he's almost sure of a job in the summer with this and Norwich seemingly available. Surely they wouldnt go for Brown Envelope again....?

Nah, f**king Jawdies by a mile. They somehow think they're entitled to a trophy despite they fact they've been **** save for 1 season in 50 years. I remember speaking to some of ther fans who literally couldnt believe it when i said Everton and Man City (pre money) were bigger than them. They see themselves in terms of size as behind Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal and thats it.
Me too. I hate the way they've been gifted the Olympic stadium and the tax payer is still paying £120m to convert the thing for them ffs! It'd be karma if they were playing Championship football at the opening.
I'm not sure why people are pleased about this, Gold and Sullivan are Steve Bruce fans, if Allardyce goes, Bruce will be heavily linked with the job.
Mackay seems to be getting mentioned a lot in connection with that job. Moyes will be considered too. Other than that, Allegri, Laudrup... maybe a move up for Eddie Howe?
Allegri is actually a good manager who was hard done by at Milan. I think he cut their wage bill by something like £50m PER SEASON and they were surprised when they did worse. His only real mistake was advising they ditch Pirlo cos he slowed their game down too much. That is admittedly a ****ing humongus error....
I know a Hammer, an old fart in his 40's (maybe early 50's), who used to do every game home & away but has rarely made a game for a few years now to reasons of his own, not because of the football on display, he had to stop going all the time the season before our first promotion to the top division. Anyway, his opinion is that they know they're not going to be pushing for the title or champions league, they've seen the premier league for years on end and it's not a novelty anymore. They turn up to enjoy a good game of football, which they're simply not getting at all, and the possibility of a decent cup run. He said it may sound strange to me with our club having only had a taste of highest level football over the last 5 or 6 years, but when you've been there and done it so many times before the novelty of it soon wears off and if he was still going to every match he'd be happier in the championship watching them play 'the West Ham way' than going through the motions again watching the utter dross they're getting served up with week after week. Just staying in the premier league by playing ****e is boring to him. He's got a point really, if we had spent many a year at the highest level and seen it all before many a time, just staying in the premier league wouldn't seem like much, just another season, no truly memorable games or anything, just same old ****e, different day.

100% agree. This is why I cant understand people saying they'd rather finish 4th f**king bottom every year rather than try and win the FA or League Cup and play in Europe. i couldnt give 2 ****s if playing in Europe knackers us and gets us relegated - WE'RE PLAYING IN EUROPE. It's Sky's fault - theyve brainwashed the masses into thinkiing if you're not in the EPL then you dont matter.

Agree completely. People saying West Ham fans are deluded and that they'll get relegated are missing the point about why they want him out. They're willing to risk relegation if it means getting rid of him and getting some fun back in their weekends.
