Now this isn't a "he's coming to us because he was in a car with JET" thread, was just wondering if anyone would want him here? He wasn't released by Barnsley, he only had a 6 month contract and he didn't sign an extension, he didn't have the greatest time up north and perhaps it was a move that didn't suit him. He's a tough tackling midfielder and obviously talented as he was in the Arsenal ranks and played for their first team quite a bit. Could be a perfect replacement for Marv and he wouldn't cost anything. Only 22 so if Cotts can get him grounded he could have a good future ahead of him, another good point about him being here is his friendship with JET. You work well when you're content and happy which is what he would be here. So would only benefit us, himself and JET. Me personally I hope we at least have some discussion about a possible move, think it would be good for both parties. Thoughts? Yeah or no
I'd be shocked if JET hadn't mentioned joining us to him. Personally, I think he'd be an excellent signing for us, assuming that we could give him a fairly limited wage. I'd love to see Wynter introduced to the side a bit more this season as well, so I could definitely see Wynter in the centre and Frimpong tucked underneath Baldock and JET.
Didn't really work with Bolasie though, who was Adomah's mate. Bolasie subsequently showed what he was really worth at Palace, and will probably get their player of the season. Frimpong would be a great signing But His wages would be a couple of levels above what we could pay, and with regard to him and Wynter, don't forget we have our Kelly back
It will be a very short negotiation when he tells us how much he wants. You would be gobsmacked at how much Barnsley were paying him
I know I say this every year, but Freddy Adu is: A free agent Now in England, after an unsuccessful trial at Blackpool, where he continues to train Looking to play for a Championship or League 1 team after playing in effectively every other country Super cheap. Both a capable creative midfielder and a forward with international experience Still a "youngster", quoted because a lot of people believe he's older than what he claims I think he's definitely worth a pop on a short-term deal, simply because his dream is to play in England, and because if it pays off we'll have a marketable player that has shown the capability to play at a much higher level than us.
