    Fair play to Slumberland.

Huge achievement to survive given the circumstances.

A look at the fixtures always made it possible. Nowt wrong with banter; good to see Sunderland can be happy with their season despite our six points and stepping-stone to the FA Cup final. What's not to be happy with? <cheers>

To look at it another way, it'll be another 6 points towards our safety again <whistle>

    Not denying that.

I did personally think they wouldn't go down, even had them to finish about 12th in my predictions too.

    Before the season started?

I don't think anyone was tipping them to go down back at the start, were they, even with PdC in charge.

I still thought they'd stay up after Di Canio left. And at Christmas. And not too long ago, actually.

Oh there are so many posts I could quote! But I'm just going to say. Premier league, 1 point above Hull City. You really shouldn't count those chickens should you

Not at the start but both Sunderland and Newcastle were tipped to be relegated on here soon after. So much so that last September I posted that neither Newcastle, Sunderland nor Hull City would be relegated and that both Newcastle and Sunderland would finish higher than Hull City in the table. During the season, particularly in the last few weeks, when the vast majority of opinion on here was that Sunderland would be relegated I gave up on posting that they would not be.

To your credit you also never wavered in your posts that they would survive as did, among a very few others, Craig of Nottingham, The Casual and Canada Tiger. Shows where the football knowledge is on this Board!

You possibly could, but it'd be a fair bet many of those were Sunderland fans posing as City fans, and may of the others were in response to nonsense from south geordieland. Quite often this was pointed out and challenged at the time too, but that doesn't suit the victim mentality some geordies try to revel in.

My only prediction with Sunderland was that they'll slink off when they're doing crap and slide back on like a rash with contrived ****e to justify it when they're doing less ****e. Looks like I was spot on. <ok>

They've just performed the great escape and on here and their own board, their first thoughts are about being above little old us. Who is obsessed? <laugh>

How's life at Kingston Tigers FC? What was the first post on our board after surviving? Not about your little old club DMD - it was about us and about our victory last night - we then went looking for those who had slated us - called us ****e and said good rissance - only to have to eat humble pie - how's it taste? A few of your lot are OK - much more sensible but most are bitter - guess it's the Bruse thing

Never read so much crap in all my life !!! Sunderland fans posing as Hull fans ???? First and foremost why would Sunderland fans do that and secondly your simply not important or significant to us for that to be an after thought. The facts are plain and simple youve had a decent season and at our lowest ebb a section of your forum members thought they would come onto our forum and start mouthing off. (Many of the early posts on this thread show your true colours)
Fact is,not only have we pulled off the impossible but WE WILL finish above you, which is the natural and normal way of things. Even now i note on this thread comments about how you will take six points off us next season, you guys just cannot reign it in can you ??? Now do us a favour, enjoy your thrashing at Wembley and I look forward with interest when your relegated next season

The irony of swathes of Sunderland supporters on our board saying they don't care.

    <laugh>

I would say it would be nice if Russia decided they wanted Sunderland and triggered civil unrest with everyone in Sunderland killing each other, even the women and children, but it's only the internet warriors that drag their knuckles and pollute the internet.

The real fans who go to games are all genuine decent sorts.

    We stayed up

We beat sunderland twice in the league

And thanks to getting drawn against sunderland I'm the 1/4 final of the FA Cup we had an easy win on our road to the fa cup final

Chances are we will lose at Wembley, (maybe)

But I don't care if we do because win or lose I'm going to have a great day.

    You stayed up...big deal.

I doubt if any HULL. CITY supporter actually gives a f**k about your club.

    :)

Erm, some were outed at the time.

If it's facts you're after, try these apples...

I would say most of us had no ill feelings about Sunderland (and to that extent still don't). As a club, we got a lot of help and advice from Sunderland, especially when we were moving to the KC.

Within a short time of Not606 forming, we had gobshites from Sunderland slavvering off on here. They reckon it was a follow on from the old 606, I can't comment because I never looked on there, I didn't even know it existed.

My own initial posts on the Sunderland board were just general chit chat, but possibly because of this old feud, it just got the same childish nonsense as a reply that a few on that board have given it a reputation for. Some then tried to use that as an excuse to post A LOT more childish ****e on here.

Anyway, fair play on staying up, it's an achievement. I doubt you'll accept any of the facts, but there it is. The hostility and obsession is all pretty much one way, people just engage posters from that board as light entertainment. You should be embarrassed by that.

Feel free to join discussions on here. <ok>
