It great having friends, shallow or otherwise. We have competed in THE Premier League and won our spurs for another season, be satisfied. We have also taken our chances in THE premier national knock-out cup competition and find ourselves supping at the top table for two! Satisfied and proud should be our demeanour. But let's focus on Wembley, Everton are a rite of passage for Bruce, a live training game against a team similar in style to our cup opponents. Just like our manager, we are both ugly and strong enough to stand our own corner. Friends are valued; confidence and determination should be our signature. Hull City AFC and bloody proud of it.
I couldn't give a flying f**k if everyone wants us to lose. Bitching and moaning about pundits and the media is the stuff of w**kers.
Agreed. A new high for us in our 110 year history, and proper football observers will know this. If we manage to get past Arsenal, I'm sure Bruce will get Manager of the Year (are you watching Sunderland? ) and people will re-evaluate the magnitude of what we have achieved this season. The comments about lack of sympathy for the underdog are nor just for HCFC, but for football in general. The game is not what it used to be in this respect and it needs saying.
Further example on MOTD just now. 5 mins of Giggsy/Wilson/Vidic chat. Fryatt's goal of the game from outside the box not even mentioned, but the young Manc's two simple chances drooled over like he's the new Denis Law. Would like to see KK give us more time in his analyses.
Boo f**king hoo. Get a grip soft lad, you sound like a scouser with all this 'no one gives us the credit we deserve' nonsense. I'd hate to have you in the trenches with me.
Calling cup was the same even after the first leg of the semi they were creaming about the all Manchester final. Sunderland never got a mention. Clubs like ours don't sell bums on seats from a neutral view. That's why media omit ever go on about the "big" sides. I'm supporting arsenal as well by the way
Small army of support for Hull City here in Columbus....but then they can't find Arsenal on the map!!
Thanks for coming over to tell us. At least now we know. Obviously, we'd been wondering who you'd be rooting for....
It'll be interesting to see at Wembley with the neutrals, what's the deal with them? Are they in either section? Club Wembley has to not have shirts but do they have to support one team or another? I reckon most neutrals will be backing City, but to be honest Arsenal don't have that much hatred for them outside of London. I think a lot of people don't mind Wenger these days since his spat with SAF cooled towards the end.
Hope they will! My husband is due to arrive in England shortly to see a few matches as well as the Cup Final. Will attend Hull v Wigan and Hull City v Everton plus Leeds v Hull and Hull KR v London Broncos before heading home. His only other visit to the KC was to see a Hull FC match. I am here with our cats but that was my decision!
I expect quite a few neutrals will have money on Arsenal -1 (or some such bet) and thus be wanting them to win. Not that it matters!
So after blaming Brucey for your abysmal campaign this season, now you've pulled off a great escape are you going to congratulate him?
