So with us all-but-officially relegated, I'd rather not dwell on this season, but look ahead to the next one. Who's staying? Who's going? How will we fare? With that in mind, I've pretty much ripped off rbf's prediction competitions for a one-off, long term stab at how we'll shape up next season. Squad Starting XI and Bench for the first game of the 2014-15 season: 6 points for each correct starting player, with a bonus 10 for each player not currently on our books, and a bonus 50 for all 11 correct. 2 points for each correct bench player, with a bonus 5 for each new signing, and 25 points for all 7 correct How many signings will we make? (Including any currently on loan that we resign, but not extensions to expiring contracts) 10 points if exact, 4 points if +/- 1. How many senior players will leave? (Not including the departures of loaned-in players, but including players deciding not to extend expiring contracts) 10 points if exact, 4 points if +/- 1. Management Who will be our manager next season? 10 points if predicting Neil Adams stays, 30 points for another correct name. Will Neil Adams still be involved with the senior squad next season? (Yes/No), 5 points if correct. Will any of our board members depart? (Yes/No), 5 points if correct First game of the season Score at half-time? (5 points correct score, 2 points correct result (W/L/D)) Score at full-time? (5 points correct score, 2 points correct result (W/L/D)) First City scorer? (5 points if correct, 2 points if they score at another time) Will a new signing score? If so, who? (Correct Yes/No = 3 points, correct player = 10 points, resigned loans will count as a new player) City match possession? (5 points if perfect, 2 points for +/-1%) Will we be at home or away? (2 points if correct) Will keep this going throughout the summer, but predictions made/changed after an event occurs will not be valid for that category. Predicting a player to play/score after he's already joined will be treated as if he was always one of our players, nor will they be counted towards the number of signings. Unfortunately any edits made after an event will invalidate all predictions pertaining to that event, as I won't know if the edit was related or not. If something I've not thought of happens, I'll just make something up as we go along! Needless to say, this isn't an attempt to replace/hijack RBF's excellent CPL and Line-up Predictions leagues, which hopefully will resume come August. Good luck!
