Honestly Smug I generally quite like reading your views and you're clearly very passionate about SAFC but all this reviving any old thread where anyone expressed an opinion which turned out incorrect is getting a bit ott in my opinion! I come on here to read current news on SAFC but there 5 or 6 threads on the front page which are basically just you saying "I told you so" to someone from months back lol.

Please don't take this as a dig coz I genuinely think you're a really good poster. You never lost faith and hats off to you, but honestly, we get it!

    P.S. I think SAFC83 owes you £100 <cheers>

Just a bit of daft fun mate, there's no malice ......... the end of every season always has threads being bumped.
I don't mind anyone 'telling me so' if I was wrong, in fact people can hesitate to do so <ok>
I dare say people who had predicted our doom would come back and say they were right, works both ways your know.

I was asked, on another thread, to provide proof of what I was saying about people having a pop at optimists.

There's someone else on this thread http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/243100-We-will-survive!!/page4 claiming they're a realist.

It just amuses me that pessimists always call optimists fantasists whereas they see themselves as realists.

Just pointing out that it's bollocks <ok>

I have to say, while I'm on, that 'reading current news' is fine but if you want more current threads you could try posting a few.
Otherwise you can't really complain about the content of the forum can you?

Must say I enjoyed re-reading this thread.
    Triumph of hope over despair.
However there is a theme of recycling old news elsewhere which is deplorable.
BBC front page is always wasting my time with tales of the gigantic squid resurfacing from 2003, apparently it snowed in some of the UK in January and the terrible problem of condoms being too big for the minuscule willies of Indian men has appeared regularly for ten years.
Then to cap it all there's that old chestnut about the the police making a major breakthrough in the Maddie McCann case..... oh no sorry , that is news apparently!

I have no problems with my past posts being re-cycled, none at all, it was where I was at the time.

Perhaps I based my realist comments on the fact we were bottom at Christmas and also take into account where we finished last season(how many clubs then go on to get relegated I wonder)

Hindsight is a wonderful thing, perhaps you could try your analysis on the Cardiff and Fulham boards where you may find a different outcome.

Supporting Sunderland is like death by a thousand cuts, you have proved beyond doubt that your skin is thicker than anyone else on here Smug.

P.S. I was not gloating about our predicament, frustrated yes, happy no way.
