No Bobby stayed one more season and left at the end of the '82 season!

We really should have won it that year but hey ho I'm so grateful for all the great memories.

    It was Resurgam.

Oddly enough, Fash's equaliser against Leicester was very similar in style to the winner he had scored on Easter Monday against the Binners - a result that caused us all to cheer "Bobby Robson, Bobby Robson, where's your effing treble now, where's your effing treble now" to the tune of Bread of Heaven, as that result almost practically killed off Ipswich's chances of winning the league.

Are you talking about the 80/81 season or the 81/82 season?

    Sorry I'm a bit confused!

Sorry Warky - I'm not well up on my Binners history - the game I am referring to was in April 81 so may have been a year before Robson left - you were in with a chance of three trophies hence the chanting when we scored.

I do remember being struck on the neck by a sharpened 2p coin that had been chucked into the City fans by the Town supporters in the cage next to us - that wasn't you was it Warky ?

I was a well behaved kid back in those days and my dad would never take me to the old farm derbies at the Carrot Patch!

Maybe NCFC can offer West Brom a couple of million pounds if they win, just for some incentive lol

Now, I'm no expert, but I have a feeling that MAY be frowned upon...
Maybe just inform them they've won the one-off 'Norwich City FC Premier League Club Random Raffle Draw' instead....

As a SAFC supporter we are all ecstatic with out last 4 results, when we lost at home to Everton I thought that was that, and on new years day against Villa. We and Palace have done amazing. WBA are our bogey team though !, but we have a good record against Swansea. We have always had a poor run in, but Gus seems to be doing a good job. Someone mentioned Liverpool away in 1981, I remember that when Liverpool had an excellent team and we won 1-0, Leeds went down if I remember that season. 1990 was our greatest triumph though winning at Newcastle, they invaded the pitch, and the 'bald eagle' blamed the wind for their defeat !

If we go down like this it will sum up our season to a T.

Down with a whimper and no fuss. Politely leaving the building at the first time of being asked, apologising profusely when someone has bumped into us.

It just would sum the season up perfectly, relying on another team to be worse than us. Well guess what, they are not.

Well done CH, the team and the board I hope your happy at home drinking your cocoa on your sofa whilst watching us being relegated without even playing. ****ers.

No issues with you at all. You have got those results so well done. I will be back following the team next year with a something to play for attitude rather than approaching every game with a negative survive at all costs attitude. You have to take the good times and the bad times. No doubt there will be some " celebrations" in some quarters with our situation but you have to accept it and move on as our time will come again.
Hopefully a chance to rebuild and reflect on the bad decisions made this season.
