Just keep the bottom line looking good by selling every year so no one pays attention to the details

£9m loss 11/12
£1.6m profit 12/13 (basically your transfer profit)
Debt constant at £45m
Wages 73% of turnover

The numbers are wrong, as we made an operating profit last year, but even as you put them there, as football accounts go they're fine and certainly nothing to worry about in terms of FFP

Better than a £90m loss and a debt of £114m like.....

We have revenue going up and up and debt going down. You have debt going nowhere and no options to increase revenue.

The money you need to pay on your players' contracts is guaranteed. The £20m of transfer profit you need every season to keep your head above water is just hope <ok>

Your net debt increased by £27m last year, so wrong again I'm afraid.

Bank debt is down. Interest-free debt to FSG can be converted to assets under FFP <ok>

They get less! We have been on TV the most this season havent we? Obviously the decision makers appreciate good attacking football

PS Thats a top site, not a top top top site

External debt is down, but this means nothing, as all they've done is replace the bank loan with one from their own company. I've seen nothing that says it's interest or charge free.

They could convert it to equity at some point, but they've not said that they're going to, ergo it's still net debt - and it's gone up £27m.....

Whichever way you try and slice the cake, LFC are in a far better financial position than EFC. The rest as they say is up to the dissembling bean counters.

So the reports that it is interest free mean nothing because they didn't forward the information directly to Tobes <doh>

You're probably allowed to lie on the financial reports about exactly that kind of thing

FFP requires the debt is turned to equity so there's a very good chance

P.S. paying interest vs not paying interest doesn't "mean nothing" <ok>

I'd not seen those reports, hence my comment. Post a link then.

FFP doesn't per se require debt to be turned into equity either.

http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-fc-accounts-show-club-6768260

"Net bank debt down by £19.9m to £45.1 m (£65m in previous accounts)"

"Interest free intercompany loan (via FSG) of £46.8 million to LFC"

"FSG have now reduced Anfield’s debts by £200m since taking over in October 2010."

Keep searching for excuses to be #bitter though <ok>

So City have been limited to a 21 man squad for the CL next year and fined £49 Million. They are also only allowed to spend £49mil on transfers (excluding money received in transfer fees)

However £32million of the fine is suspended. So they will only have to hand over £17mil to UEFA, presumably if they break FFP they have to pay the full amount.

PSG have also been given a similar penalty.

I like City's response... "Well we were not planning on spending more than £50 million, increasing our wage bill, or using more than 21 players in Europe next year anyway <wah><wah><wah>" Hahahahahaha like the spoiled brats they are.

Whilst it's funny seeing Big Spending clubs wound in a little, the wealth divide between clubs is essentially just set in stone now, so this whole FFP isn't actually making football better, or fairer.

Wish my club would have to worry about breaking FFP rules <wah>

It is interesting to note that all that is happening is quite a large but not spectacular fine is in place 20 million euro is all that will be paid AND that the English prem ffp says 4 mil total wage increase anyway... So we presume city were going to play nice anyway.... I would expect them to sell a couple, buy 4 or 5 and laugh at this really

Same for psg, I think they will move some on and buy some
