I think this is great news and very clever of the club. Whilst all our rivals are jetting off on long trips all around the world, well mostly the US, we are having a training camp in Austria as I understand it. Seems to me a very sensible decision by the club with so many of our players involved in the World Cup.

I agree CP. Just the kind of prep we need for a new season!

Good with the world cup this summer a lot of our players will be bushed having also finished a long season. Smart move by the club to go with training camp instead of a full blown tour .

Whilst match practice is obviously important when you spend the summer traveling you have far less time to work with the coach. I'm sure this will benefit us. There will be a few friendlies I'm sure.

Many teams in the lower leagues would love a friendly from you guys. Portsmouth is one that would welcome you with open arms!!!! You have many fans in that part of Hampshire as well!!

Very sensible to put the team above money in a World Cup Year. Won't hurt to put SE Asian expansion on hold. Besides, Jose will want to be close to the action with all the transfers being bandied about!!
