I would have thought that if he had plans to leave soon, he would taken the opportunity to speak last night, not knowing if it could have been his last opportunity to say something, thanking everyone for what had happened this Season. The fact that he didn't say anything at all, would indicate that he is not actually planning to go anywhere and will have plenty of time to speak later? My glass is half full, those with half empty glasses would see otherwise, the truth is, nobody knows, yet.

He spoke at the dinner last year...no speech yesterday, even a little thanks to the team, is telling. He could easily have gone on stage with Reed and said a couple of words. Leaving early is also not a good sign. Like someone wanting to avoid questions. Doesn't mean he is necessarily going (as he may not get another job) but not the actions of a man 100% intending to stay. All the positive stuff has come from Reed and Krueger...perhaps because they have not given up hope of keeping him.

Spurs are the ultimate PL bloodsuckers. Total leeches - talent drainers, aspirational failures, and the sooner they become a mid-table team again, the better. Eventually, managers and players alike will realise that they are not going to win anything at Spurs and stop being attracted to it as a club that is going places. Languishing in the reserves and certain sacking is about the likeliest outcome for the majority of those who go there.

Another slant maybe that, being timid about his lack of fluent English [as he sees it], he didn't want to go through the embarrassment of being up on stage, like last year, when he was squirming around like someone who would do anything but be in the spotlight. As he has said, he must be thicker than he thought, because he can't speaka da lingo properly yet. Well, not confidently. :)

Or the evening meal didn't agree with him. Or he dropped his dinner on his trousers. Or he had a better bottle of red at home. Or Krueger sacked him. Or...

I've got plenty other plausible reasons for him leaving without speaking on stage. :)

No amount of speculation will affect the final outcome - if he goes then so be it and the reverse he stays a sense of relief for hopefully all supporters - the club has been through many changes of managers and we are still here supporting SFC - so be it.

Used to have a soft spot for Spurs but the last few years they've mainly wasted talent/money.

Strange thing is the Spurs forums I've read fans have hardly been enthusiastic about getting Mauricio. Too up their own bottoms with the excitement of De Boer signing.

I hope our manager reads them or looks at the record of Mr Levy as I doubt he'll be attracted to the short term philosophy demonstrated. They moan about not getting Rodgers when he was at Swansea but could you see them giving him another season after finishing 7th in the Prem and no cup success like Liverpool did?

But hey, in the end money will decide I guess.

Three reasons why Pochettino won't go to Spurs:
    1) He's expressed a dislike for the Europa League on more than one occasion, even going as far as saying he'd rather we didn't qualify for it. With Van Gaal going to United next season and subsequently huge investments likely, any manager let alone Pochettino would have to perform wonders to immediately break a top 5 of United, City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal. If he really rejuvenated them there's a chance they could break into the top four in a few years, but in the meantime he'd have to put up with a few seasons in the Europa League.
    2) Their starting XI isn't better than ours. If I was to create a team out of Saints and Spurs's current squads when in full fitness and top form, it would be: Lloris, Clyne, Vertonghen, Lovren, Shaw, Paulinho, Schneiderlin, Lallana, Eriksen, Rodriguez, Adebayor. 5 Spurs, 6 Saints. Replace Clyne with Walker and 6/5. Either way, not much difference. What we lack is their depth, but looking at the next generation coming through the academy, that shouldn't be a problem for long.
    3) As he did with Espanyol before us, Pochettino has always advocated bringing through academy players as opposed to mass spending. 'Notable' Spurs youth products in the last 5 years: Townsend, Rose and Kane. For someone to whom the development of his own players is so central to his footballing doctrine, it would make no sense if he exchanged working with one of the best and most invested in academies in the country, for a club whose youth system is comparatively risible.

Conclusion: HE'S NOT GOING TO SPURS GUYZ!

(I went last night and had a good chat with les reed and luke shaw. Les said we have no intention on selling like shaw or anyone else. He did say it's gonna be a long summer. But talks with poch have been positive and will step up next week. He also said poch and him have planned pre season and poch has given him a list of players he wants. Luke said everything on the papers is ******** at the moment. He loves it here so fingers crossed)

Lifted above post from Saintsweb.....my god, I'm getting dangerous :)

Thought others would like something positive as well.
