Lol. His middle name is Narcissus. He has many many long looks at himself each day. Rather than long hard looks I think they are more a case of Long adoring looks though.

Just a couple of snippets from tonight's awards bash from someone who was there:

    - Krueger hopes to have resolution on Pochettino in terms of new contract within "a couple of weeks" after the season ends
    - Pochettino loves the squad
    - The squad loves Pochettino
    - Most of the first team will be happy to stay if Mauricio signs a new deal
    - Adam might well leave even if Mauricio does choose to stay
    - Mauricio dashed off straight after and left fans wanting autographs and photos behind
    - Mauricio didn't speak publicly and didn't get drawn into any conversations with supporters

I find the fact that Mauricio didn't speak or stay the most worrying.

He probably dashed off to watch the Man U highlights to prepare for Saturday.

Sounds like the opinion of that person. Still confident he's staying.

Seriously depressed this morning. I know it's daft, because, contrary to general opinion, the whole team can't suddenly up and go and the vast majority will still be here next season. And there are other managers out there. I like our present style, but it isn't totally down to MP...we have been bringing through young promising players for a long time and they all have had great technical ability and the right attitude. Still depressed though.

I'm staying positive until something happens. Why would MP want to leave. If what Kreuger and Reed say is true then the future is very bright. Clearlly if Real or Barca came calling its a different matter but Spurs no!

Definitely seems that Mauricio is keeping his options open which doesn't fill me with hope. My great hope is that he doesn't get offered any decent jobs :), but he may still not sign an extension :(.

Realistically, Spurs will approach him. He's everything they want in a manager (basically in the AVB mould but with a better record in England and a greater emphasis in youth development). Whether or not MoPo willw ant to work with levy and more importantly, Baldini, is a whole new can of worms. Will he get a better offer? Probably not and, as such, this might mean we keep him for at least a year

Exactly! Why start mourning someone who hasn't gone? Makes no sense to assume a negative outcome, especially when that assumption has no basis in fact. If the worst happens, we'll deal with it, but it's pointless worrying about things that haven't happened.

Is this part true? I prefer MP without a doubt, but didn't Villas-Boas leave spurs with the highest percentage of league wins of any manager in the club's Premier League era and 5th place finish in the previous season? What has MP done to have a better record? I thought spurs had sacked their last few managers because (despite doing relatively well) they didn't actually win anything...

Yes, at 55% AVB does have the highest win percentage for them in the PL era (but the lowest for Chelsea post Abramovich takeover, so the "record in England" point might have some merit).

Ironically Sherwood's 56% is actually slightly better. Don't think that's likely to save him either.
