I hope City appeal and UEFA treble the fine and reduce their squad to 16 players maximum as a massive **** you to them.

They wont but none can dream.

Back on topic. I think we should bring back the death penalty for FFP breach.

It is kind of funny that the punishment for spending too much money, is a monetary fine. What exactly is FFP trying to achieve?

True. Can just see it now at UEFA review time.
UEFA: 'You've made a £50million loss over the last two season, gotta take action over that'
£ity: 'But thats the money you fined us'
UEFA: 'Sorry but we've got to fine you another £50mil and cut you're squad down to 12 men'

It all seems ridiculous. £37million over two years isn't really much breathing room, its the cost of one player nowadays. Transfer bans, squad limitations and European expulsion seem like better punishments along with wage caps.

Last question. Because we made big losses over the last two season, do we need to post profits next to pass? Even if its a £1 in the black.

Because you're now back in Europe, you'll be subject to FFP monitoring

For next season the monitoring period is for the previous 3 seasons, so 11/12, 12/13 and 13/14, with the combined loss allowed set at a total of 45m Euros.

You announced losses of circa £90m in the first 2 of those years, however, you were claiming that some of the costs were excluded from FFP.

I stole this post from another site

"just seen details about the tv money for this season.

bear in mind. man u got £60.8M tv money last season for winning the league

How the Premier League payments will be calculated:

:: £1.2million paid for every place a club finishes in the league, up to £24million for the champions.

:: facility fees of £750,000 for every time a club appears on a live TV match, with a minimum of £7.5million.

:: equal share from domestic broadcast deals - not yet confirmed but expected to be around 60% increase to £23million per club.

:: equal share from overseas broadcast deals - not yet confirmed but expected to be around 70% increase to £32million per club.

I've checked, we had 26 matches televised, so that's £19.5M for live tv, £22.8M if we stay in second place. plus £55M in share of broadcast deals.

that's £97.3M this season for us. plus we'll have champion's league money for next season. plus all our new sponsorship deals"

Made by a poster called '19th Title Coming Soon'

    ----------------

So that will go some way surely. Henry has also called on FFP to be very strict and doesnt look/sound one bit worried

Based on what? the say so of John Henry? lol.

City and PSG were adamant that their costs were all legitimate as well..........

It'll be up to UEFA to judge whether they are acceptable or not, not your owner.

Oh dear, just because they've lumped 10's of £m's under the heading of "Stadium project" (for a project that never broke the ground and never involved any land purchase) and written it off, doesn't mean that it'll stand up to scrutiny by UEFA ffs.

City and PSG put 10's of £m's of income under the heading of Sponsorship and they've deemed it to be way beyond what is reasonable.

Until UEFA clear it, you can't definitively say it's acceptable.

Equally you cannot quote me chapter and verse to support your contention. Hence you definitively cannot say it is not acceptable.

Lawyers, architects and consultants all famously work on a "no-break-ground-no-fee" basis <doh>
