Is Gerrard a big game player or flat-track bully?

  1. Big game player

  2. Flat track bully like Suarez

10 good minutes in Istanbul, and good games v West Ham and.... Olympiakos <laugh>

Where was he v Chelsea and Palace when it matters.

Where was he for England when we needed a game changer.

Two goals v UNited in a decade pre 2009 and penalties.

1 goal in 36 v Chelsea (one assist and one OG)

His big game player tag is a myth created by the Scouse media

Not even amongst Liverpool's best three players this season.

As is Suarez. The best big game player in this league is Aguero in my opinion.

For England at least he's always been slightly better than the rest of the dross. Not saying much though...

Problem with Gerrard is he's too 'roy of the rovers'. When against us Liverpool needed a calm header and a leader he was taking pot shots from anywhere just desperately trying to atone for his earlier error. Had 1 flew in he'd have looked the hero again which there in lies the problem.

So many times his ill-disciplined and average central midfield performances have been masked by a wonder goal here or there. 2006 fa cup final case in point.

He's a very good player but just not in the top bracket for me. Keane, Scholes, Lampard all better P.L midfielders and Yaya probably there now too.

Have you ever seen Gerrard win the league?

Agree with Aguero. Since the prem's been going it was prime Torres at Liverpool for me. Always delivered in the big games for them.

Aguero is superb in tight games. Shame he is so injury prone

Gerrard is getting a bit long in the tooth now, but be fair, he's been a great player for a long time. Pity the "contest" between he and Lamps clouded the fact that they were both different but excellent players. I would put Frank ahead by a narrow points win if asked to choose, certainly in the PL. In Internationals, they strangely never quite had the consistency they did for their Clubs. And Frank never punched out anyone in a nightclub.

We really do need a fishing board, it would stop your board getting cluttered with Liverpool threads.

When seagulls follow the trawler it is because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea.

The best midfielder the Premier League has ever known was clearly Pedro Mendes. Gerrard comes nowhere near him.
