Watched it a couple of times since, still not filled with confidence but didn't seem as bad. First time I heard it he seemed to go on forever.
After the season we and he has had, it is a possibility. He has been outstanding, but that interview gave nothing to me to suggest its more likely than I thought before. It'll come down to whether a big club makes a big offer or if a big club has tapped him up enough to really get him interested so they make that offer. I'm certainly where I was before tonight and that is hopeful that he knows the club will try and push on, improve the squad and try our darndest to do even better a let him lift a trophy at wembley
I accept that any player might leave. There are no guarantees. It's just that Lallana is a key player and Saints are stronger with him than without him. Also, I feel that several players will be influenced by his decision to stay or go. They will either keep progressing with the club, like Adam says he wants to, or not. I think it's more to do with what the club intends to do that Adam is influenced by. If they intend to become PL fodder then he'll go and he'll go with my complete blessing and understanding. No point in staying somewhere that has no ambition beyond survival.
Just found a Man Utd tattoo on Lallana's chest. Don't ask me how his shirt and jacket came off.... So every time he has been patting the Saints badge it was really the Utd badge underneath he was doing it to.
That's what I'm worried about. If pochettino or Adam or Luke etc leave then it means more than we've got a big hole to fill, but it sends a message about our new ambition.
Fan who attended tonight's function... Ralph says that Saints are "batting calls away everyday" from clubs interested in our players. Also said a resolution on Poch should be forthcoming in the next couple of weeks or so.
Daily Mail have perhaps unexpectedly taken the positive slant on Lallana: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...490&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
Must be true then...hurrah! I see a United fan says in the comments that we need to sell him (to them) for 12-18 million and then we could buy two players from abroad...obviously has no idea about what we pay for players. We are not a small club grateful for the crumbs from the table...12-18...having a laugh!
Les Reed says there have been no offers, so obviously Ralph never talks to him . Probable truth...Krueger gets initial enquiries to test the water and deflects all of them, whereas Reed means that there have been no concrete offers. Many of these enquiries may not be for the usual suspects (probably press 1 for Shaw, 2 for Lallana on the recorded message), but may be for players such as Cork, Spider, Davis etc.
Lets face it if MP stays Adam is more likely to. I think he#'d like to stay but if some-one comes in with an incredible bid the club are bound to consider it. Any business would.
