Don't get me wrong, Meyler has had a cracking season all in all, but he seems a straight pick every game and the last few weeks he's certainly been off the boil. I'm a big fan of Quinny and think he has deserved more of a chance this season than he's had. At St James' Park earlier this season he was terrific before his injury. Does anyone else think Quinny has deserved more of a chance? Meyler has needed a rest for weeks, although he might be forced to take one given that stamp at the end!
Player of the Year last season for me, and while I can understand Bruce wanting more physical players, I've been impressed lately when he has got on the pitch. Against a team like Arsenal, I think he'd be a good fit.
He’s a great little player. Though I suppose you’ve only had this season to form your opinion of him.
That's because you're silly. He was by far imo our best player last season, and whenever he has been brought in he has been good. Deserved a lot more game time than he has had.
Watching Meyler at Villa he tried but looked out of place on the left. When I've seen Quinny he looks more accomplished there, Boyd tries too much fancy twists & turns & ultimately losing the ball.
I'll go with Steve Bruce's assessment of him, rather than yours if it's all the same. Backup player, but we need a stronger bench.
At the time Graham was being played, Fryatt was out of form. If Fryatt leaves in the summer, it will be to join a Championship team to get first team football.
How do you know? He wasn't playing. Graham's form on the other hand ........................ Are you mighty jungle in disguise?
He was playing, he was scoring goals for fun at Sheff Wed alongside Wickham, who was also doing the same.
There you go again. Now having a go at the management. Give it a rest ffs. I agree with Be Rugby Tit. Quinn's alright, tries hard, but I don't think he's really good enough for the first team. I don't wanna sound like I'm having a go at the guy but I didn't really get the hype last season either. He's a bit like Stephen Hunt but with more skill and less ****ishness.
