they are ok if you print fairly regularly and use proper Epson ink. As soon as you start using cheap inks the problems start IMHO. Home printers are generally **** to be fair!
I've a Brother printer/photo copier. It's about 7 years old and was quite expensive to buy. Plus side, all 4 ink cartridges can be bought for £6 (not actual Brother ones) and they work perfectly. People get sucked into buying cheap printers and then have to fork out a tenner a cartridge for ink.
The problem with that is it's cheaper to buy a new printer than replace the ink with proper epson cartridges
yea but you need to think of the whole picture here, you need to print therefore you need ink - you can buy printers for buttons and run them with cheapo ink until they break and then buy another. Or you can buy the same printer and try to keep it going with genuine inks - you takes your choice. I find that if you shop around online for your genuine inks you can get the price down to a reasonable level and it saves having to ditch your printer ever 6 months! I guess what I'm saying is to treat the ink as part of your total investment in being able to print and not in relation to the cost of the printer. Cheap home printers are ****. End of. And don't even get me started about the joys of wireless printing !
