The Beckham thing was quite funny. They cheered him to the rafters when he came on and then booed his first touch
Ohhh Tommy, Tommy... I get the feeling the crowd are going to spend the full 90 trying to recite all the songs for the returning players.
He got a great reception at the Lane this season when he returned with Hull so I fully expect he'll get another.
I also hope he plays only a small part so he can take his place in Rio. Unlikely now, but so deserves to go.

What a side that would have been all in their prime! Shame Spurs couldn't put a few more big names out from the current squad.. not like many of them have a world cup to go to. Sounds like a great night was had by all, anyone know of any videos knocking about?
Great laugh tonight. Credit to everyone involved from the players, legends, youngsters, MPs, crowd and even Howard Webb! There was never going to be anything threatening to be a serious game breaking out but I've never seen a testimonial quite like that. Dawson and Webb must've had a quiet agreement because right from the start Dawson was all over King on the corners and on the second or third one Webb gave a penalty which Ledley buried(thank God!). In the second half with Holtby and Freund on it really started to get messy. If there was an unspoken line about tackles someone should've explained it to Lewis! He took out Freund with one two footed lunge and Howard Webb with another, it was all in jest though and never really hurt anyone. Speaking of the officials, I'm not sure how or why it happened but at one point we had a random fan running the lines and getting lots of stick for not giving any offsides against the current Spurs 11, who were the pantomime villains trying to stop King winning his testimonial game. It was great to see Ledley make it through an hour or so and get the send off to his playing career that he deserved. All the jokes on the pitch and with the crowd aside there was a lot of sincere appreciation for one of our greatest players and the best to come through our academy. It's harder to explain this side of it as you really had to be there to hear the volume of the support for him throughout the game but I'm sure there will be some videos up soon to give you a taste.
Sounds like a brilliant night. Wish i could've gone. King is a legend and im so glad the club have found a role for him behind the scenes.
Echo We also had Robbo (England's No 1 ) giving us a song as well as Parks and Freund. In fact , Robbo was absolutely brilliant with his banter with the fans in Park Lane. YV where were you sat?
We even almost got a song out of Webb. All he did in the end was a bit of conducting though I was looking on longingly at all that from the north east corner As soon as Sullivan came out at our end for the first half I knew Robbo had asked to have his half with the Park Lane end behind him.
After you guys started sining "England's number 1" for Robbo I was hoping the Paxton would take up chanting "Scotland's number 1" to Archer but I don't think they got it
