theres no way you will do as well next season. Your relying on Suarez and sturridge having 20+ seasons again for starters. You also wont get away with conceding nearly 50 goals so as things stand i stick by my 5th place finish for you lot next term.
We have a good squad, like most we need to improve but there are not huge holes here. Sort out the defence is the priority and a stronger bench which is already sorted with loan players coming back and we're ready to go imo. It doesn't matter that City and Chelsea will be stronger we have a squad and a system capable of stringing wins together, we'll be close next season imo.
Well City wont strengthen thats 100% certain. Chelsea will buy a striker. United will spend the most money of any club this summer I suspect. Arsenal will buy a french 4 year old midget. I think you could well suffer from similar issues to what we did this season. Reliant on one or 2 goal scorers. Poor defence and aging players in important positions. remains to be seen if you address these issues.
When SAS stopped scoring- we started getting goals from elsewhere. I think when defenses started paying extra attention to SAS it allowed our other players to start getting goals. SAS not scoring has not really slowed our goal scoring by much.
yes but that then leaves you wide open which has been evident in recent weeks. The opposition stop Suarez and Sturridge so Sterling and co take up the scoring job. Who is tracking back, cutting out the counters etc? Its certainly nobody in your defence.
I think we will easily make top four again next season. ManU are a mess from top to bottom and would need to sign about 10 players just to get back into the top six. City and Chelsea will be stronger but I don't see Arsenal getting much better, for me Spurs and Everton (if they keep Martinez and buy some of the loan players) will be a bigger threat than ManU next season for top four.
Next season is going to be a great. Maybe not for you guys with your mental expectations but for everyone else. We're going to enjoy it
Its all about the squad size. Its been a factor for us because we have a small squad. However, had we got European footy this season we would have so many out on loan and we'd have probably signed one or two more too.
I think I might change my mind about this question. Perhaps next season will be tougher - for all the other teams! You never know, we might have a defence
When has it ever been about being fair. Playing to the rules or even within the spirit of the game - yes. But fair? But attack and defence - wouldn't it be awesome!!!!!!
But then it would just be a case of the quality of our players and teamwork against the quality of other teams' players and teamwork. We'd win almost every game...
Skrtel last night for the 3rd goal, what the actual **** was he thinking of? Charging out of the backline to leave a massive gaping hole in the centre of the box. Some of your defending this season has been bloody awful at times. Who's your defensive coach? or don't you have one?
I think it will be anothe hard year next season, but I do believe we will be one of the best prepared teams 1. Man City will lose some names to them wanting regular game time. (jovetic?) But they will spend big and improve the squad further 2. Jose will buy whatever big names he can get his hands on 3. Man Utd will spend big, (but probably over inflated prices.) 100m worth of players for the bargain price of 200m 4. Arsenal will be there or thereabouts next year 5. God knows what will happen at Spurs. If they are lucky they will develop soem kind of plan for the future. But more realistically they will try and sign the biggest manager and biggest name players they can without thinking about what they actually need 6. Everton will lose some loan players and will buy cautiously, I still expect them to exceed expectations next year though. Hard to call but i think we ill be competing for top four as long as our players get some rest after the world cup and do not suffer too much of a hangover from this years close finish
Maybe you could come to an arrangement to swap Torres/Ba for Skrtel? Win win for both clubs then. Chelsea get a guy allergic to defending and Liverpool get a guy who has no idea what a goal is.
