People in this country don't seem to appreciate defensive qualities and skills. Still less tactics and strategies based on a good solid defence.

Far from me to praise Maureen (like UIR) but I have to recognise he is a good coach and he knows how to get his team to defend. Rodgers the RS manager sneered after the match with the chavs and said: "Anyone can coach a team to defend". That has come back to bite him on the arse as he has been totally incapable of coaching that to his team.

To the great hilarity of the neutrals across the country and the world, the RS lost a 3 goal lead in the last 10 minutes through comical non-existent defending. <ok>

If these are champions then they would be the poorest in the history of the premiership. <ok>

[OOps: can the mods amend the title and remove the word "recognise"?]

Whatever it looks like, it defo is not the RS's one last night..<laugh>

May be we could get Rodgers to ask Maureen who could teach him a thing or two about parking the bus or defending ? It must be the one of the things that Rodgers did not learn from his master...<laugh>

We never should have got rid of Clarke. He could organize a defense. <ok>
