I wonder if this match will go down in Liverpool history alongside Istanbul under the title of "the greatest comebacks ever".
I hope Kolo was having a word in Suarez' ear as he comforted him down the tunnel there. 'Ere Louis, you'd be better off playing for the Arsenal mate. Liverpool have blown it and will be ****e next season'
Credit to Palace again. They've beaten Chelsea, Everton and come back from three-nil down to draw with Liverpool.
Hell fire , that was a huge bottle job , so much to lose . They HAD the 3 points and they chased the GD as well . greedy
No honestly how do you bottle 3-0 up? That being said it'd be a disgrace if Pulis isn't manager of the season
That Liverpool defence has been leaking goals all season and if it wasn't for Suarez they wouldn't be anywhere near the top.
Out of the top 6, only the Spuds have conceded more goals than Liverpool. Rogers has shown that defensively he's not up to it, sticking with Skrtel and Sakho at CB when they've only had one clean sheet between them all season.
The most tragic thing about the Liverpool draw, was the fact the because they wanted more, they got punished. In a way you have to admire their skill and courage to keep going for it like that, but all season their defence has been ****e and that has come back to bite them in the arse.
When you play the sort of football Liverpool do, it's hardly a shock that they are so bad at the back, the anti-Chelsea if you will. City have the right balance.
Even then, there are basic tasks in defending that the Liverpool back four just don't do. Like pushing up when the opposition go back, closing the gaps between the full backs and CBs when teams put balls into the middle and just basic awareness of the strikers movements. Those last two goals for Palace were typical of Liverpool's defending this season.
Probably, cause Madrid are greedy ****s. But their owner held firm last time and that was they did not have CL football, so who knows.
City have the right balance. But they also can bring on players like dzeko, jovetic and negredo as subs. We bring on... Moses.
You should have brought on Agger or even Kolo Toure to sure up the defence, they were all over the shop.
Their back four is clearly the weakest part in their team and they remind me of us in the last nine years (although maybe not these last two years). Going forward they are amazing, but defending wise, a liability. Sort that defence out, and if they keep that attack, they could be up there with the best, because going forward, they are a force of nature with Suarez.
