Top of the league going into the final week of the season and we're all disappointed. Who would have thought that at the start of the season? Beat Newcastle and Man City still can't afford to lose either game.

We needed to get about 14 goals over the 2 games to give us any chance of winning the league on GD. How is that so hard t understand

Basically, we now just need City to lose rather than draw...that's potentially just one extra goal for Villa! Never say never in football.

You got to think they are comfortable but here....stranger things have happened. If we don't win it we came bloody close... We really really need a leader at the back though....
I know it's hard to try and make some observations when all the Wums are in here fapping away 'til their balls explode, but I'll try anyway.... Negatives, piss poor defence you can piss through, but mainly on the right, Gerrard trying too hard and giving goals away in the process. Sterling had a stinker, Suarez had about his 7th poor game on the run, he needs a break, not a frikin' world cup. Hope fully Rodgers will have the guts to reinstate Pepe in the summer and get shot of Mignolet, he is ****. Gerrard has to go this summer, he is dragging us back now, would have loved to have won the league for him, but he is one of the more obvious reason why we are throwing it away at the end. I'd say he would be a good impact player, but Rodgers never has the guts to sub him, when he deserves it. Positives, so many exciting prospects coming back from successful loan periods this summer, will be able to buy well, being in Europe. Good experience of how it feels to come so close and bottle it, hopefully they will not do that again.
