After the demise of BRFC to the conference, now is the time to put Bristol back on the map football wise.

Ashton Gate is being redeveloped into as good a stadium as any in the championship.
The time is perfect to let SC build a team to win league 1 and return us back into the championship.

I reckon three or four good players will make the difference.
The league is weak, this is as good a chance as we will ever have.
Please lets make the most if it,lets return to the championship next season with a shiny new stadium being built.

We have to abide by the FFP rules, but with Fonts, Louis, Marv and Pearson out of contract there is scope to bring in some decent players at League 1 level

You pay over £500k and the wages begin at X
You pay over £1 million and the wages begin at Y
You pay over £2 million and the wages begin at Z

With FFP with will be paying wages in the T or U bracket I would suspect. So don't expect big money signings.

Don't think we NEED big money signings, just clever ones. Wade Elliott is a prime example of a great cheap signing, we have made plenty of them before, Adomah, Andersen, Nosworthy etc All relatively cheap.

With Kelly, a more confident experienced and hungry Wes Burns, Bobby Reid, Joe Bryan, if we can keep Baldock, JET and give them a little extra help, then I see no reason why under Cotts we can't really make waves next season, in what will be a poor league with some of the clubs coming down from above.

I agree clever signings are the key snapping up player from league 1&2 who have been a step above the rest bringing in experienced players with something still too offer on and off the pitch bringing in youngsters who have potential and of course intelligent loan signings when weaknesses are identified during the season, Not forgetting getting rid of the crap

As for it being a poor league id not be so sure I am sure, shef utd, barnsley, and doncaster will all be in the mix and normally one of the promoted sides will do something plus 3 of the 4 teams that are in the play off this season won't go up and will be strong except orient perhaps who will likely struggle if they don't go up. there a few of the usual league one suspects too who could have good seasons

A good touch of realism. We should be cautiously optimistic but it is unlikely that we will walk away with the title. A top six finish will be a job well done at this point in time.

I disagree. It looks nice, but it will still be a poor stadium compared to some of the newer stadiums in the league. It'll put us to a good standard, but more work will be needed after to make it a Championship level stadium.

Oh yeah, so weak that we were a few results away from going to the basement... It's a weak league if you're Barcelona, but we're Bristol City, and this league is our current level. We'll need a significant revamp of the squad that will ensure both promotion, and the foundation to survive in the Championship.

Disagree here, Barnsley have been dieing for years, and won't finish in the top 10 next year as will Yeovil. Doncaster might make the playoffs at best. This league is a lottery, no one expected Rotherham to be so good, no one expected Leyton Orient to have the start they had. It will be a guessing game as usual, so therefore I don't think it's too tough. We should be competing for top 6 without a doubt next season given our resurgence under Cotts. Sheffield Utd and Peterborough (if they don't go up, will be duking it out for top spots would be my guess.
