Looks to me like he's gone full circle from the Chelsea game and is now playing a less attacking team...over compensating perhaps for the overly attacking style last time around. Aside from Coutinho though, our bench looks fooking dire I hope we get goals in the first half!
Liverpool XI: Mignolet, Flanagan, Skrtel, Sakho, Johnson, Gerrard, Allen, Lucas, Sterling, Sturridge, Suarez. Substitutes: Jones, Toure, Agger, Coutinho, Aspas, Moses, Cissokho.
So we start with the team and set up we should have started with against Chelsea, knowing a draw would suit us. Trouble is we need a win tonight
I really don't understand everyone going on about us needing goals. We're 9 behind so would need to get a GD of at least +11 over the next 2 games. It isn't going to happen, and that's only assuming City win their games with a GD of 1. The best chance we have is to win tonight then pile the pressure on City to keep up on Wednesday. If they slip then we can go into Newcastle game knowing it's in our hands. I doubt those people claiming we should go all attack and try win 6-0 tonight would be very happy if we ended up drawing 3-3 while going for it and City then go and draw on Wednesday.
We just need to win tonight, but that bench is awful. I have a better one in my back garden, and I bought that from Aldi !
We don't need 5-0 win. If we're going to win it on GD we need about 9-0 to get it level (City will then go at least 1 above us if they win on Wednesday) and then hope we outscore them in the final game. If we win 5-0 we'll still be 4 (plus however many City win by on Wed) behind them.
We won't win the title, but I would rather go down fighting. Unlike the English clubs in champions league. Beating Newcastle by a big margin on the last day is achievable and city have west ham on the final day. I would like to see us go close, or at least beat the chavs record for goals.
Have never understood this. If he's fit enough to come on at some point he's fit enough to start. What impact is a player that isn't fit going to make from the bench?
I'm assuming by that you mean that City might drop points. If that's the case GD will mean **** all as 2 wins will win it. We aren't going to win the league on GD, so we need to ensure we win these 2 games. That's all we can do. If we win 9-0 tonight then yes, I'll join in, but it isn't going to happen. Win the games, put the pressure on City to catch up.
If BR wanted hm for the first part of the match he'd start and be subbed off after the appropriate amount of time. The fact he's not starting would suggest Rodgers wants him available should we be struggling to break them down in the later stages. Clearly the man has a plan. Why try to second guess him? IBWT
I think it's more of hoping we won't need to play and risk him when he's not 100%, but we've got that option if things are really looking grim and Moses's creativity won't be enough
The plan didn't work very well against the chavs did it? I'm not trying to second guess him, I just don't see the point. Couthino isn't an impact player, he never has been, for us anyway. Definitely more of an impact that Aspas or Moses. But that just shows how weak our squad depth is. Nervous about this one, can't see us winning. I bloody hope we do! Oh, anyone got a stream?
http://www.wiziwig.tv/broadcast.php?matchid=257288&part=sports I use Acestream and the bloodzeed links myself, but the flash ones work too - obviously pick the higher bitrates
was wondering, HYPOTHETICALLY speaking before i get cocks commenting, if we won tonight and city ****ed up, what would everyones opinion be on what we should do in the last game, do as we have done, or change it as it didn't work against chelsea when we only needed a point then?
Oooh! Nasty. You support LFC, too, right? Really? Ok, not sure I agree with that, though. Me, too! I just go off wiziwig and use their streaming flash sites.
