Well I went to the University of Huddersfield and did a computer-based design course, and I was never asked to complete a final major project with such boundaries attached. It was always free reign.

In the old thread, he replied to me saying it was free-reign and he picked this subject himself. I imagine if he isn't a WUM, he has been given a 'sports club rebrand' as a project and has chosen 'Hull Tigers'.

Here's a few Hull City crests I've designed for a bit of fun. Some based on being modern, some based on historic elements, some child-friendly and some aiming to be a bit more 'fierce' than our current tiger - I think if we were to get a new badge, instead of the stupid idea of changing our cherished, historic name, we should instead be aiming to simply emphasise our nickname. Making the 'THE TIGERS' part of the badge more of a focal point helps do that. The tiger brand is then being promoted, we keep our name - everyone's a winner.

I think that's a point Assem seems to be missing - you don't have to change the name to make people aware of the fact we're nicknamed 'The Tigers'.

Agreed- much more inventive and thoughtful.

But ideally we get to keep our name our crest and bring the FAC home.

I like last two particularly. Name aside it does meet the demands of both the supporters and Allam

Thinking about it, it shows that either our 'marketing department' are simply there to do as they're told (and hold no weight in discussions on any marketing matters), rather than do what a marketing department is supposed to be doing - coming up with fresh, new, creative ideas to attract custom for the club.

Or an outside marketing company has smelt money and managed to plant it into Assem's head that 'Hull Tigers' is a snappy brand which they can create for him (for a 'good' price). Just a hunch, but I wouldn't be surprised if Duffen had something to do with it - he seems to know how to smell out money, has been seen around the club over the past season or so, and if I remember correctly - didn't he always used to talk about developing the 'power of the tiger brand' ?
