There is apparently a rift between Jose and Eden at the moment, you never know but I'd settle for Thorgan.

With the ''Egypt connections'' I wonder if Salah may be an option if we are shopping at Stamford Bridge? Seems Jose fell out with him big time yesterday.

Honestly, no chance. Not that I wouldn't love it. There'd be 6 or 7 teams in front of us wanting him, including potential champions Liverpool.

Ah - I knew we'd been linked with him but didn't know he was Chelsea's player.

On the Chelsea/Liverpool subject, Victor Moses is heading back to his parent club after a loan period. He'd be a more realistic target.

You can't have Eden but Thorgan is a tidy player. Plays just off the striker, PL loan would suit him nicely and the kinda player you need IMO.

Good shout, but again, he will be attracting interest from his old manager at Everton, probably Spurs and a few like those.

Getting Thorgan on loan would be a superb deal.

Having European football on offer would likely put us ahead of other English clubs too in getting players like him.

Possibly, we don't know his motivation but he's done a lot of bench warming at Liverpool, he'll be starting XI week in week out with us but wouldn't be with anyone top 8.

Yeah it's a fair point. I really like him, can turn a game on it's head in a matter of seconds. It's an exciting time to be a City fan with the players being banded about.

Agreed, nice to be discussing players like him and Hazard Jnr as even remote possibilities.

Where will McCormack go? He will be in the Premier League with someone.

I like the shout for Moses, I'd like us to sign someone like Cattermole. Not Cattermole himself, but someone who is a bit of a presence on the pitch. A bit like Shaun Derry and Ian Ashbee were. There are a couple of people who fit that mould, but these type of players are generally not that popular. Ok, I'm talking about a Joey Barton player, again maybe not him due to his past idiocies, but I'm sure you get what I mean

There are many to choose from if available, and no doubt some will be. I agree with a lot of what is written here some great suggestions all round, especially Van der Vaart, Redmond and McCormack. I think we may get some quality from Europe as well especially if we get to the group stage.

All the above posts asking for players who will be on £50k a week at least and everyone of you will be squealing like piglets if AA sticks another twenty quid on your season ticket.

I disagree, a few of the players are on higher wages and they are generally the ones being spoken about getting on load. The likes of Hazard, Redmond and McCormack aren't on anywhere near £50k!

There's absolutley no chance we'd get anybody like Salah, he's only just joined Chelsea.

We want to be looking at 1 or 2 'big name' players per window and build the squad slowly, so in Summer we brought in Thudd and Livermore, in January Jelavic and Long. I think we need a solid left sided player to take the pressure off Brady.

if we were going to sign another Egyptian, I'd quite like to see us try for Mohamed Ibrahim. He's apparantly one of the highest rated players to come out of Egypt in a long time. I think one of our Egyptian users made mention of him, he's quality.

Brilliant player, better than Kahraba in my opinion. What happened to his supposed transfer to Malaga?

Yeah they were trying to get a work permit for him on the basis of this 'super young talent' rule they have. I guess they didn't get one. He's got 6 caps for Egypt now so maybe he has a better chance.
