That's one advantage of being in sunnier skies... I can't see a single cloud in the sky. 93F is the high for the day- that's mid 30's C I think- but low humidity today with a breeze blowing.

The PL may stupidly schedule games to play whilst I'm at work... and I may not get bank holidays... but at least I can enjoy the sun!

    What are you a f**king lizard? <laugh>

Good BBQ and beer conditions. <ok> I'd ask you if you miss having actual weather, but I suppose that's a silly question! It's pretty nice here in blighty, too, if a little cooler than your ectotherm paradise over there. Icecream vans are making the kids round here nuts. Pretty standard summer stuff, really.

Lol- plenty of Lizard's here! Anole, Skinks, Fence Lizards... It's nice now... won't be nice in the summer when it gets over 100F and the air gets really sticky and humid.

It's not all warm sunny weather though: We're also getting some pretty powerful storms heading our way later this week... and we saw snow this winter... enough the kids could use the sledge. Half the lawns in my neighbourhood have huge dead patches on them... the grass we use around here to survive the heat and the periods of dought we get can't take being below freezing for very long. Go a few days below freezing and it starts to suffer and never turns green again in spring.

We've got patches with now with no grass growing- just white sand showing through- or dead brown grass! :(

Half our front lawn is dead because we had a cold winter.

That where there are lots of 'Gators?

Remember: 'Gators are not ornery because they have lots of teeth and no toothbrush, but because of their medulla oblongata! <ok>

South Carolina has a fantastic coast line. (as long as you stay away from Myrtle Beach which is redneck central) Some very scenic mountain's too- although, most of the best mountains lie to our North in North Carolina. Lots of nice historic southern coastal towns too.

Just stay away from the center of the state... the coast is nice, and the mountains are nice... the rest isn't worth seeing. We're also home to 99% of all wild-growing Venus fly traps... occasionally they are found in the wild in Georgia- but almost all the natural growing ones are in SC. Woo Hoo!

/ not that I've ever seen one growing wild... other carnivorous plants yes- all over the place. Fly Traps though are highly endangered in the wild.

We have lots of alligators- but not as many as Florida. Florida are more famous for Gators. We're known for Palmettos (a short type of Palm tree) - even though they only grow well along the coast. People plant them all over the state because it is the state symbol and they want to be patriotic- but the ones grown away from the coast always look sad and crappy- barely staying alive.

Do you allow your white wine to reach room temperature before you drink it, too?
