Heard a lot of talk about Pullis or Rogers being manager of the season. The job Gus has done since he took over a club in total shambles has been.....wait for it....nothing but a miracle :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Pullis has done a good job no doubt. Rogers well if you have Suarez, Sturridge and Gerard on your team your not going to be far away from winning the league. Pellegrini with all that money and the players he inherited the league should be a given.

Gus took over team after 7 games with one point. Reached the Capital Cup final. Bottom at Christmas. Wins at Chelsea, Man Utd, double over Nags the list just keeps going on.....the lad is a legend!!!

Gus just gives the impression that for once we have a manager who knows what he is doing both on the pitch and off. Really looking forward to see who comes in over the Summer. Would like him to keep the nucleus of the squad aad keep away from too much change.....like 14 signings. I hope we keep some of the out of contract players. Welbeck, Caulker and Rose would work...

Thank goodness the rebuild people mooted some time ago has diminished with the recent results. As it stands we do have the nucleus of a worthy team and a couple of additions will obviously help. Congleton may have been a smart move when you look at the number of Eastern Europeans operating in the German League. Good players are reasonable prices.

let's see where we are come sunday evening. we're not over the line yet given the incompetence of Chelsea and sterling defensive efforts of Norwich.

the lads need to keep their concentration levels up and see this out, ideally on Wednesday.

Rogers will get it for me, no chance of a club/manager near the bottom winning it, besides nothing has been achieved yet, we still need the 1 point don't forget, apart from that what a ride it's been this season!! such a rollercoaster hasn't been built yet eh?

Notice none of you have mentioned Bruce! He's kept Hull up on nowhere near your budget and also got us to our first ever cup final and into Europe, surely he should be on your list of possibles?

See if you say that after your European exploits. Bruce has not exactly done any more than Poyet or even as much. Poyet spent nothing as the money s
Was spent before he joined by the idiot Italian regime. Poyet pulled Sunderland from relegation certainty to survival and got us to a cup final. Miraculous. Bruce just dud what Bruce does other than the cup thing

I think pulis edges it. Crystal palaces first season up, while we are an 'established pl' club. They were in a similar position to and are now how far off top half? Rogers has done fantastic but looks likely just to be cl football for Liverpool, which at the end of the day was their target- and little cup success.

Yeah his budget was nowhere near ours, it was much much larger..

He's done a decent job yes, but I don't think he's worthy of the award

Our very own Pards has been setting records too.

Seriously, but no, I mean sure, Poyet looks like he's dug you out but manager of the year? No. Pulis yes, Martinez yes, Rogers... I guess, what about City's manager? Looks like he's going to win the league on his debut season.

With the squad they have, this would have been the boards minimum. Mancini's ego was what let him down most of the time. Pelligrini doesn't come across as egotistical and just gets on with the job.

Gus coming into this job had never managed in the EPL before. Pullis, Rogers, Bruce....(lol).....had previous experience. It is Pellegrini's first season. Well with their squad if your not knocking on the door there is something seriously wrong. Gus took 4 points of Citeh. Palace weren't in the turmoil that Sunderland were in. Players revolting and even the tomato ketchup had been given the sack. No smiling to strangers. Then when he's trying to get things going....some 6 red cards.....6 own goals.....10 players out of contract.....keep checking to see if Gus has an oxygen tank strapped to his back. To overcome all this....gets us to Wembley and heading towards 41 points......"your honour my case rests"....GUS IS MANAGER OF THE YEAR!!!!!
