I hope you are right. However our last few managers, Ollie was the last, have not brought on the youngsters they gave contracts to by giving them a chance in the first team. I'd like to think that some of the players who were given a run out on Saturday will indeed be given a chance to develop in the near future. Mind you in that respect we're as bad as the managers. When the transfer window opens we'll all be wanting Tony to break the bank on exciting new young players. The manager however (whoever it happens to be) will deliver with unexciting safe old ones and a shed load of 'lads wot have done well for me in the past' - players with names and 'illustrious pasts'. Hope that doesn't count as a negative post although anything from 'cynical', to 'world weary' to 'realistic' might be apt.
