Next summer Barkley should be worth about £16m which is right in our sweet spot.

Chelsea and City wouldn't bother with such cheap players.

  5. He's worth a lot more than that to Everton!

You're forgetting the Chelsea policy of buying up all the talent so nobody else can have them <ok>

Very good season and be interesting to see if he goes and play at the WC. One of the rare (although starting to become more common) English young player who is comfortable with either foot and has a bit of technical ability with the ball which allows him to get past people.

Shame he plays for Everton, as anyone else and we might stand a chance, but unfortunately (much like Baines & Coleman) won't be joining us. Sucks when your local rivals produce/buy and develop players which then get snapped up by your league rivals!

Bets thing he can do is stay at Everton for a few more years and then if needed move to a team fighting for trophies.

Pretty embarrassing thread. The usual deluded ****s out in force though. A great sight watching you squirm.

Luvs excused as he was pissed as a fart.

Have you ever made a post on here that doesn't contain that word? Those keys must be almost illegible on your keyboard by now.

Name-calling in lieu of a genuine argument- pretty sad.

I can't see Martinez or Barkley being at Everton for long. The big clubs will be sniffing and I wouldn't be surprised if both are gone by the summer.

Oh no need to worry. If any united fan was claiming that we could just buy any city player we wanted I would be calling them deluded too.

The guys I am referring to have been deluded for years though. They are the kings of delusion and they dont libe in the same reality as the rest of us.

They are the ones making the most noise right now but will be the first ones missing when things go wrong.

It's a shame they didn't make the CL places because that might have kept them together a bit longer.
The lack of investment in the club, real or perceived, is likely to induce their better players to move on.
These days few people seem to be able to resist the lure of the big spenders, even though it often leads to them wasting large parts of their careers on the bench.

  17. But in instance it would true. Other way around would be realistic though :)

City would struggle to buy cleverley off us. The small time ****s would celebrate it like a title win though if they did.

Its a shame for Everton alright, I think Barkley could be the next Rodwell (as in over rated) which is why I wouldn't want him near Liverpool.

Pretty poor comparison as City to Utd couldn't be classed as anything other than a step down.
