Amazing to think Miss France was Andre Fabre's first 1,000 Guineas winner, he's been champion trainer in France like 25 times! Who had Miss France in a double with Esoterique? Both trained by the maestro.

So have we seen a likely Oaks winner today. Hard to make a case for anything on pedigree, other than Bracelet and she looked as though something went wrong. Maybe something else will appear later.

today is one of those days that I wish I had been betting. I would have backed the forecast in the Guineas, after prattling on about Lightening.

The outsider Busy Bimbo wins the 5.20 at Hamilton, record of 0-56 before today but the change of headgear made all the difference! Captain Scooby well backed but unplaced.
