With the release of our new away shirt on Thursday this week and the likelihood that not many people will buy it I was just wondering how many on here wear footy shirts either to the game, on holiday or purely as leisure wear. If so, do you have any non-Newcastle shirts and which is your favourite?

I have most of the tops we've ever produced. I wear the current ones to the games and often to lounge around the house in also.
Reference other tops I have a Fenerbache top from a few years ago and a Cruz Azul from Mexico and also a Sparta Prague one.
I'd say my favourite of all time is currently...

I love that top, to the point I wouldn't go barmy if those hoops replaced our stripes permanently. I might purchase it again.

My favourite away top. Classy top for a classy team [at the time].

Non Newcastle - My Italy top, Italia 90 England top with Gazza on the back and Fiorentina's home shirt. Bit of a theme there I guess.

Hmmm, good question. I frequently wore my Toon tops on match days and for leisure - despite living darn sarf where everyone supports one of the top 5 and find it amusing to see anybody else who doesn't. I've always been proud to wear them - even when we went down and were the focus of attention for jokes (at least down here we were).

However, in the last 3 months, my Toon tops have been gathering dust in the wardrobe. Not a conscious effort either. It's not a mini (unseen by NUFC) protest. I just can't get excited about the club anymore. And in turn, I don't go seeking out the Toon tops. Also refused to buy one since they've had WONGA all over them.

My favourite retro I still have is the 70s one with a magpie emblem and proper collar.

The other consideration of course is that most of your tops don't fit anymore mate. But I'll not let on.

I never wear replica shirts these days. Not the kind of look I'm going for. I own one from about 2005 ish but that's it.

I wear one to the game but never at any other time.

I won't be buying the latest one and my favourite from the past is probably the '99 one.
