Chelsea v Norwich City Stamford Bridge - Sunday 4th May 2014 kick off 4.00pm Welcome to the penultimate match day thread for the mostly forgettable 2013/14 season, where Norwich City and its band of weary followers head to south west London, for their annual spanking at the hands of Chelski FC. Results over the last 7 days has seen Norwich City not only enter the bottom three of the PL for the first time this season, but has also seen them arrive on the brink of relegation as of today. Anything less than three points for the Canaries, and it's game over in all probability. A crazy sequence of results could see Norwich survive the campaign, even by getting a draw in this very tough fixture, so who knows. My money is on zero points and taking the plunge in to no-mans land where the like of Ipswich, Leeds and Brentford await our arrival come August So on that cheerful note.................lets just get on with it as I am too fed up to write anymore just now
Looking on the bright side, Thai, you'll have 46 opportunities to ply your trade as a wordsmith next season, as opposed to a meagre 38 !! Every cloud, they do say......
Is there such a thing as beyond the last chance saloon? Chelsea haven't lost 3 in a row at home since 1993 Come on city!
Elmander up front!! Goals, goals, goals!! Why has Hooper been dropped to the bench since scoring at Liverpool?
Ruddy; Martin, R Bennett, Turner, Whittaker; Tettey; Snodgrass, Johnson, Howson, Olsson; Elmander Bunn, Bassong, van Wolfswinkel, Fer, Hooper, E Bennett, Redmond. So we're playing Mourinho at his own game with the most defensive line-up possible?
With one up top Elmander is the obvious choice and should be able to hold the ball up better than the others. Looking at that team now it to me looks mid championship. I fear another hiding today.
Chelsea can find it difficult to break teams down, so there is a logic to the selection, but I'm not sure I want to watch it. oh I will, I feel like punishing myself today
I just had that horrible moment of realisation that we are going to have to play Fulham again next season! Bah!
loving the line up, one thing is for sure NA isnt scared to mix it up, elmander upfront is the obvious choice, looks like we will be parking the bus and trying to nick a goal, anything is possible!
I'm going for a Norwich Win! 1-2 Elmander, Hooper The mighty Cambridge have just reached Wembley! #nojinx
